United Kingdom Transformers sightings

It even dropped to £20 but it was one of those wild geese chases where the int net showed it at that price but finding it in store was impossible (and with it being a discontinued sale it wasn't available to buy online, much like the £5 potp infernos)

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
It is one of the unfortunate things with how Smyths' system works. It's mostly to do with how our stock is recorded. If any of that stock is ever put on reduced to clear, it is removed from our recorded stock entirely. Meaning no one can get it delivered or have it click and collected. It is, in my opinion, a bit of a flaw as no one knows if any of the reduced stock is available in stores. I mean, my store has this table of growing stock of mostly girls, preschool and books that has been reduced but will likely never sell so it'll probably end up being put in waste. Essentially, it just means that you can only ever know what's in store by physically checking or you can phone up (though most stores will just check the website so you might want to say that it may be in the reduced section).

Forgot to post here about a sighting last week!
TLK Premier Edition Voyagers sighted at B&M!
I went in because I heard the rumour and was looking for a Nitro Zeus. No luck, but they had Hound, Optimus and Grimlock.
Honestly though, they were £19.99 which is cheaper than RRP but like, about the same you get on eBay for them.
In other news, I didn't see this mentioned but Kapow have MP Shattered Glass Optimus Prime down to £65!

Just curious, is this the standard price of Siege Voyagers in the UK? (23 pounds)
Because if so, that is just as cheap as the US

Yes £23.99 is standard shop prices fo Voyager class in the UK. However since the exchange rate is usually around $1.25 to the pound. We still pay more than the US. Even after their tax added.

Voyagers are about £23.99 for Siege, I wasn't interested in optimus or megatron at full price so I had to look it up! Hopefully my next siege purchase will be sometime soon as some of the figures are must buys for me.

Actually I agree with you Will, we're actually paying just less than the US because of the tax. If we didn't have Vat, we'd pay even less. However, what we don't get, is all the sales or the widespread availability of tfs in brick and mortar stores. So it's still a slog collecting in the UK but price isn't a factor (other than Hasbro increasing prices everywhere)

That is felt worldwide. Just ask any american and they will tell you there is nothing in stores. That Soundwave is supposedly in Canada but I have never seen it with my own eyes and unlike your amazon, amazon.ca sets a premium when they are the only retail store to stock a figure. The sales we see are more for lines that are marketted towards kids and their parents (here is a good example). Basically, we are all in the same boat and right now the UK has that prized Soundwave figure for the cheapest price possible.

Indeed, it's a funny position to be in. Though I'm still suprised that we got Soundwave at regular retail as normally we get wave 1 and then maybe wave 3

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
So, an update from Smyths;
Galaxy upgrade OP - last week of June
Springer - late june/early july
Refraktor and Red Alert - August
Thundercracker and Brunt aren't listed yet but should arrive with their wavemates. Still no idea when wave 2 deluxes will arrive. The internal system shows them but the website is yet to list them.

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Thanks Cyclonus. Good news on the siege front. Seems now that transformers are getting hard to track down in brick and mortar stores, no matter the country your in.
I’m beginning to wonder how Hasbro are making money on transformers or toys in general with this marketing plan.

Online probably but its also a coin toss depending on where you are. Though a lot of the blame lies with the stores making the orders. Though I have no idea of what goes on with Hasbro UK...

Just a reminder of how lucky we can be or how bad transformer prices can get! 20,000 yen/£140ish for a sword. Not a big one at that, probably less than 24cm.
Siege backpackia (chromia) seems to be overly plentiful in stores abroad that don't just stock studio series, so we might see her in discount shops at some point.
I have some more baynus statues photos but think we have seen them all in news at some point, as expensive as they are, they are probably cheaper for us than they are in Japan.

IDK if this has been reported yet, but I spotted Studio Series Thundercracker in the Entertainer in the Intu centre, Nottingham (sorry for poor image quality).

It wasn't newsed, or if it was, it would have been part of a general studio series sighting post.
It was shared on this thread earlier though.

Picked up Leader Class Optimus Prime today at work. This should mean that other Smyths stores should either have him in or will be getting them in within the next week.

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
So, I don't know if this has been said yet but, the Smyths website now lists a bunch more studio series figures ranging from wave 4 through to wave 7. Not everyone is listed though. The listings include:
Deluxes (all listed to arrive in July 2019)
SS22 - Dropkick (helicopter)
SS23 - KSI Sentry
SS26 - WWII Bumblebee
SS27 - Clunker Bumblebee
SS28 - Barricade
SS29 - Sideswipe
SS30 - Crankcase
SS39 - Cogman
SS40 - Shatter (car)
SS41 - Scrapmetal
SS47 - Hightower
No voyagers are listed as of yet. SS35 - Jetfire is listed but with no date only a TBC 2019. As usual, I'll keep you all updated on when I see any of them arrive in store.

Thanks, looking forward to hunting bots in the UK again.
Meanwhile in the land of the rising sun, I have a day left to decide on 1 purchase of the following as a big purchase:
A) master made odin (Fort max)
B) Bw megatron
C) Macross konig VB6 monster (something I've wanted for years but I don't have the money to collect macross stuff)

First off you're a lucky sod to be in Japan
secondly, which one pulls to you more? I would normally say BW Megs but the plastic issue has me cautious on him.
