I'm near Chicago, and never saw him either. I've even walked around nearly the whole store with my head back, look at the very tops of all the shelves, bumping into people and carts, with no result. Admittedly, I didnt' think to look in the frozen food sections, tho...

I finally broke down and hit eBay- paid $67 shipped, I was the only bidder. That's only about $14 over retail after paying tax. Cheap IMO. Good hunting all!

Starscream isn't in the regular toy dept set, so you're not likely to find him there. I'd suggest looking on the top shelf of every aisle. I even found about 20 Classics figures on a top shelf in the curtain section the other day.

There are three walmarts in my area (capital district NY)that had him. In each one, there were from 12 - 18. I bought two; one is leering at all of you atop my computer, and the other is MISB in the attic. In each store, as I purchased, I saw dudes loading shopping carts with unopened cases of Walscream, and heading out the door. Each WalMart was sold out in less than two days; that's 54 SKUs!!

Glad I got mine...

Out of interest I looked up Starscream on ebay and to be honest, even with the outrageous shipping rates that people tend to charge you're still getting a better deal than on bbts or other such sites

Bumblebee-otch, there are only two stores at the time that I know of at the time that were selling masterpiece starscream figure for $74.95 at robotkingdom.com. At the time I did not know the online toy company was selling it. It is also hard to win a bidding war for one on ebay because everyone wants it for this Christmas. I went to walmart on Black Friday after Thanksgiving in Illinois and could not find one at all. It was never a Black Friday exclusive and was released at only a few walmarts in the United States. I paniced and bought it at digital-toys.com. Even one seller on ebay said the masterpiece starscream figure is very hard to find at walmart.

The walmarts in my area must have been lucky then.The 4 stores near me had plenty.I bought 5 for myself and got a few for some friends.

just get it from amazon.com, thats what i did, its a little more but its worth it cuz i ended seeing one at wally and the paint job sucked...bad, and the plastic on his hands was kinkda cut up looking... it made me feel alot better about spending 80 bucks...

Well one is to keep MISB then one to display.The other 3 are for repaints for Skywarp, Thundercracker and Sunstorm.

Well I got lucky. I had a friend go on vacation and she found Masterpiece Starscream in a walmart near her hotel so she picked him up for me. So now I get to focus on finding Landmine and First Strike prime :grin:

There are bunch of them up here at the walmart at 165th here in lynnwood, wa. Not that I would buy one it looks like a monkey held a paint brush in it's butt cheeks and painted the figure.

They were there yesterday afternoon sitting with the remote control cars of all things. There were six or seven of them like I said me I wouldn't have picked one up the paint application were awful.

Honestly, at this point, at least in the Chicagoland area, I think you're wasting your time and gas looking for Starscream. I was lucky enough to happen upon mine a few weeks ago and I directed a fellow Seibertronian to that same store, only to find out that he bought the last one. Since then, I have not seen a sniff of this figure in several Wal-Marts in the south and southwestern suburbs, so it seems like any restocking at this point seems unlikely.

There's tons of them on Ebay. That's why we collectors cannot find him in stores. What I think is ridiculous about this is that it's not like anyone needs to recoupe their costs like during Botcon where many people sold there bagged Games of Deception figures due to the expenses in going to Botcon. This is just a bunch of scalpers buying them up and hocking them on Ebay at very inflated prices.

I guess our hobby has never been so popular since the G1 days, huh?

Yeah, isn't everyone on this board?

The Aussie prices are quite high, but that's the price we have to pay. I guess I'd rather overpay for toys than move to America. Plus I'm not a 'hardcore' collector, I only pick up a toy when it really appeals.
Even the classics are
$25-28 for a deluxe
$45 for a voyager
