at the end of the movie, he want to scan a bomber, but then, his scanners pick up instead...

meg's last words at the end of the movie:
"SLAGIN'S##T! STARSCREAM? STARSCREAM! PICK ME UP AND LET'S GO!... STARSCREAM? WHA- What are you doing? what's with the string? ... oh no... OH NO! NO! STARSCREAMMMMMMMMMMM...!"

Why would Megatron even need a Alt form in this movie he is frozen in Anartica until the end of it. I would like to see him as a Tank like in Transformers Armada except without the stupid beetle ends on his head. As far as who he gets to be voiced as like i said before what is the point when he isnt in the movie except for 15 minutes or less. I can understand if they do something like showing flashbacks like how the war started then he would need voice over. But Next time please put In Arcee, Ultramagnus, Hotrod, Devestator, Soundwave, Shockwave and Autobot City.

I love what you said SoulofOptimus. Sheer brilliance! Made me laugh a lot! I doubt we can trust any source but the official one anymore. Doing so just gets your hopes up.

In fact, I'd like to see Megatron as a massive battleship or something like that. Something truly menacing. What's scarier than a massive ship covered in guns that's ploughing it's way through the city?

Maybe I'm just not cynical enough, but I'm willing to listen to these fellas for now. After all, there have been two ultra/leader sized Megatrons in the past 4 toy lines, albeit repaints. Considering how much Hasbro is investing in the movie line it's not unbelieveable that they could have two leader-sized Megatron figures with another one out later in the year. Rest assured, the stuff we've seen so far is really just the first couple of waves.

Does anyone else here think it's mildly alarming that all of us could be looking at Megatron's alt mode and debating over what it looks like/supposed to be? :-)

What if Megatron would happen to get an alt-mode during the epilogue of the movie. Like say the Autobots are thinking they've finally seen the last of Megatron, and the last thing we see before the credits (or maybe even after the credits are done)...a stealth bomber flies into view and transforms into Megs, quoting something like "I still function". This could help establish the sequel.

Seems to be the thing to do in the big movies now a days. Alas, it will no doubt be something super lame.

I vaugely remember already talking about this in the first news article that was made about IGNs press release. It went up at the same time the original story did. As I said in the other thread (about this very same topic) I am very weary of what Megs earth mode really is. I'd like it if he was a Stealth bomber, as they are fantastic looking machines. To be honest I could see him being more of a rail gun or something like Galvatrons cannon mode. I haven't read the script, so I could be swinging at the ground here. Meh' I can wait a few more months to find out for myself.

That's a good way to think about it. I use to do that with my girlfriend, but we would always get kicked out before it was really finished because I think the ticket checkers would always assume we were going to try and do it in the theater. But as for the respect part, I think I will stick around for that as opposed to if there is a little nugget at the end.

It wouldnt surprise me if the in-game alt mode of Megatron looks similar to to B2 stealth bombr, but I bet his movie alt mode istays cybertronian.

I think Hairball178's got the right idea about Megatron getting his earth-mode late in the game (if at all). They made that giant toy of him as a cybertronian jet (bag of nails, or whatever the hell that is), so it stands to reason that he's going to spend a good portion of the movie like that- whether we like it or not.
