Re: Perceptor's Scope
When I was a kid I had a working microscope - it wasn't a great one, but it wasn't a toy, it was a lab-quality microscope. Just, you, know, middle school lab. The odd feature it had though, was it had an attachment that looked kind of like a box that plugged onto the eye-piece. Inside the box was a little projection screen, so when you used the microscope's light, it would project the slide onto the screen. Now, this could be the projector thing they were talking about, or it could be if I'd popped the screen out of the box, the lens in the box would have turned the attachment into a proper projector, for use with a wall or much larger screen - either way, it was a piece that attached to the eyepiece, not a modification to the eyepiece itself.
As it stands, Perceptor's scope sort of works already, and I could imagine making an attachment for it, and then passing say tiny screenshots from the movie across the slide table/chest panel. The big thing is, Perceptor's not lighted. So if they're modifying Perceptor to have some sort of projection system the big change might not be to the scope, it might be the addition of a proper light, maybe an LED built into the chrome abdomen piece his Autobot insignia is usually on. I'd honestly find this much more believable if it was a Masterpiece figure (making it about the size of a real microscope), but my curiosity is certainly stirred.

The direct word per word translation of the post concerning that aspect of the toy is actually "magic lamp", the word "projector" was an interpretation within context.

That actually describes the attachment I had for that Microscope better than "projector", actually, because I would bet "Magic lamp" is supposed to be "Magic Lantern" which is much more similar to what I had than what we think of as a modern "projector".

Yes, my mistake, the word for word translation is magic lantern, I just mixed it up in my head.

Does anyone know which Astrotrain will be re-issued? I'd prefer the original U.S. G1 toy version, or the e-hobby cartoon accurate one over another black & white one.

I personally prefer cartoon accurate reissues, as in many cases they don't exist. Reissuing them in toy accurate colors would tickle alot of people's nostalgia I'm sure, but big picture, you can get something like that already. In the case of E-hobby Astrotrain, although you can get him, I am to understand that his colors are kind of off, and he's among the more expensive E-hobby reissues.

As much as it would be great getting my hands on a g1 Astrotrain that didn't cost a lot I doubt blighty will get the reissues as we've not got the newer ones since reissue skywarp and Co.

IDW Devastator is indeed Titan class, because it's designed for all ages, do not expect much in terms of individual bot's transformations (complexity i presume). displayed toy looks like a WIP hand-made (or painted) prototype and joints do not seem to move (my guess it's like the combiner wars at SDCC where the joints are hot glued?)
fears, Assumptions Debunked on no tiny robot modes. As Takara plans to sell each Constructicon separately. Think they need tiny robot modes in order to successfully sell in stores in Japan.
Don't need complex Transformations. Thought the complex Transformations movie toys helped create some ugly sculpted toys.

This is confirmation of a brand new CW toy being used for Hotspot. The rumors of CW Hotspot using a CW Optimus toy have been debunked.
This is not a MP TF toy. It doesn't need to be high quality or a perfect version.
Think fans expect, Most CHUG toys to be mediocre.

MP21G (G2 bee) will only include a jet pack replacing the exo-suit, but the price will be adjusted and reduced
Think this is confirmation that MP-25 is not Megatron. MP-25 is Tracks
Think this is also confirmation that the Five Takara MP TF listing for 2015 don't have a Megaton. Think The rumors of a Takara new sculpt MP Megatron getting released in 2015 seems debunked and slim to none.

Does it really mention something like that for preceptor? The translation from Chroma23 simply says the scope can be used to view slides. Bing and Google translations both say the same thing. I think this is just a misunderstanding of the original poster, Kidzhao, not being familiar with the fact that Perceptor was a real working (however week) microscope and thinking the feature was new. There's no reason to add a play feature to something that's being sold to adults.

As I said earlier, and I've done it above, that when the original post has the writer's assumptions removed, the story is much different. Also, he mentions Tracks and Ironhide, but has seen a gray prototype? Those two don't look remotely similar. While I'm not denying that MP25 will probably be Tracks, there seems to be a lot of info presented here which is pure speculation, and not actually presented at that conference

Yeah it does. Chroma 23 did not translate literally, but instead in context using assumptions. This is the literal translation:
幻灯片 = Magic lantern piece
The slide show reference is just inference based on those words.

Exactly. And someone else brought up the timing, a week after the meeting, but just in time for the most recent explosion of speculation. Just because it's in Chinese doesn't make it gospel. I'd prefer it be in Japanese and from TT.

Yeah, usually it's just misinterpretation. Like someone confusing Generations Leader Megatron for an MP release and others like that.
I mean look at this, why wouldnt a retailer think anything other than a tank MP Megs was coming?!
