No this is not what happened. The lines in the scene go like this:
Starsceam appears-pilotsays" what is that?, mumble mumble

Starscream takes out 3 jets, transformes to jet, Pilot says "pop that guy!" Starscream gets hit and transforms back to a robot and takes a swing at another jet and misses, transforms to jet and gives chase.

Pilot says "stay on him; keep him in your sights!"
Scene ends

Of course none of this effects the theory that SS shoots at Megs, Which is entirely plausable since the scene above end with SS #2 in line in a squad of 4 other real jets, and Megs gets hit with plenty of missles.

I would rather not tiptoe on this forums rules by discussing how I know for sure, just trust me.
It isnt that important but consitering this thread was started with a false statement the facts should be noted to stop this misinformation.

THis is true. And as he said, it could have been clearer. It seems alot of their work was cut out, so who knows what we missed for that section of the movie.

Personally, when I saw that red beam on bumblebee, I thought it was just Ratchets way of teasing or playing around with Bumblebee, judging from bumbles reaction, sort of like a kid saying "hey quit it!" sorta deal. Had no idea that was actually fixin' something.. lol

How did Bumblebee regain his voice and why wasn't it explained?

I got the impression Ratchet took a diagnostic scan of BBs voice generator not to fix, but to see how the progress is going.
I think BBs handling of the cube slowly repaired his voice. If you look closely you see a blue aura travel out out the cube, through BB and into his neck area just as the cube finishes shrinking.
Even when he does speak it still sounds like it is not quite fully working right. Kind of raspy.

No they didn't, here is all of the dialogue from that scene:

"Second wave's on approach."
"What is that?! Stop!"
"Pop that guy." (Just before they hit him with a missle, causing him to switch from jet to robot mode)
"Stay on him, keep him in your sights"

The fact that Jazz died was fine for me but I really wish that it had been handled differently. I read the novel tie-in before I saw the movie and he actually had his spark ripped out (which makes it more likely that he won't come back), he wasn't ripped in two. The biggest thing for me was how the others reacted. Optimus just held him like grocery bags and was like "Oh well..but we have new friends YAY!" and in the book everyone paid him a respectful silence, which was better in my opinion.

As much as I want to see him in the next film, I'm worried it wouldn't quite work for me. It'll be like he "died" for nothing and there was no reason for Ratchet to say nothing could be done. Just my 2 cents

About the Starscream thing, I really couldn't tell if him, but it would be awesome if it was.

And I could very well be wrong but: I Think I saw Starscream turn G1'ish color schemeish when he flew into space for the last scene. He turned white and his wings had red lining along the side, I am sure it wasn't fire.

Are they any screenshots of Shockwave out there?
