Yeah, there is some minor Cybertron stuff I'd like to get (Snarl, Ransack, I have a Crumplezone secured, Dark Scorponok). Might even go for Jetstorm to complete the Cybertron Ultras for fun.
I've been doing some powerlinxing too, gonna share some results tomorrow. Ironhide and Cliffjumper make for a pair of great powerlinx combiners

Or with old engineering.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Eh, I prefer him as a giant single arm, makes "Savage claw mode" look as awesome as it sounds. He needs a waist swivel and some leg retooling. but he could make a great arm with new engineering
Leobreaker's problem is he got badly gimped by budget cuts, and so the extra joints that would have allowed his lower legs to collapse into his thighs wound up axed for the production toy, as did the thumbs. And the fingers got relegated to being solid heel struts that look vaguely fingerlike.

I so badly want to see what Leobreaker could be with proper engineering. He could be so awesome as a giant savage arm.

Isn't there a book like the Generations ones that show off the old designs/prototypes?

Here's a look at the prototype:D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I so badly want to see what Leobreaker could be with proper engineering. He could be so awesome as a giant savage arm.

Note also the scrapped idea of a faux-parts SUV chest; that much was dropped for aesthetic reasons.
I think 3rd-party replacement legs could do a lot to bring him closer to that proper arm mode.

No new pics because I've been busy working on Optimus, but I can at least crosspost this here

Does Leobreaker connect properly with Armada/Energon Tidal Wave?
Speaking of which, I would have loved a 3rd deco of TW in the Cybertron line.

Went and did some powerlinxing, it is a fun gimmick for sure. I'm not sure which way I like Cliffhide/Ironjumper best yet, I have Ironhide on top for now. Also, Rodimus will remain a set of pants cause the shirt mode kinda sucks

Also got to see this bad boy this weekend, that was cool!

He's quite fun to play with, didn't realise he came with the redecoed requiem cannon team mind. Got mine and them loose seperately
I powerlinked Rodimus to inferno, the colour schemes complemented each other

It's the arms, isn't it? They're too chunky. I got 2 Energon Rodimus figures and linked them together so he's both shirt and pants. Makes for a bigger Rodimus figure, and in my headcanon they're 2 clones making up 1 character, kinda like Jetfire in Animated. I wish I had the money to do it with all the Energon deluxes.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Rodimus will remain a set of pants cause the shirt mode kinda sucks
My recommendation if you like the Prowl and Rodimus molds is get the exclusive 2-pack of their redecos called the Autobot SWAT Team.

It's the arms, they just sit here, unlike Inferno, Prowl, and Downshift, they are just locked in place with no real articulation. the other 3 have elbows even.
My buddy did have the SWAT pair, but I wanted to try out Rodimus first and I wasn't really looking to do a UT repaint thing. The colors were sharp, but the Rodimus mold as a powerlinx is kinda weak, so I'm glad I set those 2 aside in favor of some other bots like Bulkhead and movie Stockade

Like I said, get them only if you like the molds. Personally, I have Rodimus for my Rodimus collection, and I never got Prowl. If I do, it'll be that 2-pack and they will be combined, because of their deco. They just go together.

Prowl, derpy head aside, makes a great powerlinx combiner. He makes a pair of great posable legs and a great top with posable arms and minimal kibble in comparison, he is really good. He can go with pretty much anyone.
On a different but related note, I do think i will hunt down all 8 Ultras from Cybertron. I already have the 2 Scourges, Sky Shadow seems to be pretty easy to get, and it's only him and Dark Scorponok now to finish out the full roster

Finally was able to go back to the office some, and was able to bring in some actual deskbots too!
It feels really good to finally have the original version of the Scattorshot mold, he is super fun and the colors are so nice. That blue!
And Menasor just continues to be an awesome Menasor. He is really cool

Platinum Energon repaints. Omega came with his upgrade kit too.
He's complicated, I really like the base figure, and I love the alt modes, but the rocket armored base mode is so cool too, and the new pieces make him really big, heavy, and give him a much more imposing profile. I feel like I could enjoy him without the upgrade kit, and could definitely transform him quicker and more enjoyably, but the kit adds so much cool stuff to him, so i think i'll be keeping it.
And then there is the Optimus Supreme mode, which is mainly why I wanted the Platinum one, and as doofy as it is, it is pretty neat. I enjoy having all of Optimus' combining partners from the full trilogy.
And finally before pictures, I really like this configuration for Prime. Giving him a driller hand is really awesome, and so is giving him rotor blades on his arm so he can totally pull a FOC Bruticus on fools. I wish he had larger heels and more posability, but he's still really dang fun. Makes me apprecicate CW Optimus Maximus more too.

I never cared for Energon Omega, so I never gave him a close look. That's a pretty elaborate base mode. For a second I thought you had ER Ironworks hooked up to him somehow.

Most of that base mode is the upgrade kit though, a bit ingenious mind, plus it gives me War for Cybertron vibes (the game that is)

Yeah, most of the base is the kit. It does a lot though, and it looks super cool!
This Omega isn't an Energon Omega to me. This is a WFC Omega with the colors and now the kit. Plus, I don't intend to form Optimus Supreme much, maybe 1 or 2 more times honestly, so it's OK if they are separate.
I need to do a little WFC shelf, it would be this Omega, Sideswipe, Jazz, Prime, Ruination (maybe) and Grimlock (maybe). I think they would all look nice together

I always felt that Energon omega supreme was a cheeky macross homage with one of his hands being the front of a battle ship.
