It occurs to me, given the needed stats for the AQD, that this may be a low-powered "replacement" for the Kreemzeeks. :-?

You'd be better off with an energon crossbow. Smaller recharge.

How the hell would an augmented quark disruptor work? Would it fire high electrons/neutrons at a target at high speeds, and shake them up a bit or what?

Any chance of some new weapons at and above FRP 7, though? As it stands, there's really not much worthwhile between Black Magic and the Gatling Gun (another weapon that seems over-powered compared to more stat-expensive stuff above it) for the higher levels to play with and lower weapon variety in general compared to FRP 6 and below.

Actually, Scantron, as Gatling Guns are still the third costliest weapons in the game, stat-wise, they seem fine, IMHO. I think it's the Fusion Cannon and the Rocket Propelled Mortar Grenades that need beefing up. Definitely the Fusion Cannon; if you spend 20 upgrades for a weapon you ought to have something that totally kicks aft.

That's a possibility, of course, but I don't see much room to manuever in beefing those two up (aside - does anything ever get "beefed down"?). For instance, the only apparent difference between the Gatling Gun and Fusion Cannon is cost and recharge rate (no vs short), with recharge rate being the only difference that affects functionality in missions. Since the Fusion Cannon already has the highest possible damage rating (Incredible), the only way to beef it up is to drop the recharge rate to "no recharge". But, if you do that, there's still no reason to get a Fusion Cannon; it would then have the same abilities as the Gatling Gun, but cost a lot more in xp and energon. Same with the Mortar Shells: You could beef them up by dropping the recharge rate, but the Gatling Gun still has a better damage range. You could beef them up by raising the damage range to Incredible, but then the Gatling Gun still has a better recharge rate. Honestly, I think it would be easier to just drop the Gatling Gun's damage range down to Devastating than to play with the other weapons.

Im actully rather glad this has been done, it makes the weapons thing a WHOLE lot more fun (and despite the loss of RMs and the reducement of damage from BBs, my team seem to be kicking ass today).

Now that I have access, I'm going to see if I can add one to the list of 325 inactive weapons (some of which sound really danged cool) just for the practice.
