Unamimus ... is that like a cross between Unicron and Primus?

To be honest about the whole clan situation, I will defend them staying as I have been with the RDD since I first started playing and do see the upside (and downsides) to them. I can understand why people would prefer it to just go back to con vs bot, it does make sense. However why should people be punished or looked on differently in the HMW community because they choose to be a sub-faction with other players? Ive played many online games and still do, and I do agreee with Burn in that most online games have far more players than HMW but when I run around wow or play battlefield or any other online game i dont look at tags in their name. At the end of the day bots are bots and cons are cons sub-faction or not. Thats not a reason to just say, whats the point then because as someone has already pointed out, its human nature to group up with others and form friendships that way. I can honestly say that I will help any con in a mission RDD or not. However I do enjoy it when I join a mission and it has a lot of RDD in it as it feels more like a team for me (again a personal thing and im not saying that its more important that the grand con vs bot war) I think of it as companies in an army. They are all split up but still all fight the same fight for the same team.
As far as the con forum on here is concerned I do think its a tad irritating to get to and as others have said before it would be cool to have a direct link to it from the side navigation bar or something.
my 2p anyway

I think a important part of the subfactions and clans that people overlook, or when they say "They're not a part of transformers" is that they are. Proof? Scroll up to the database tab, then click the sub-group link. That's what a subfaction/clan is.

You know what could be fun ...
Making the Autobot/Decepticon thing a decoration and making clans/sub-factions the main groups.
It would certaintly add more rivallry plus when necessary clans/sub-factions under the same faction banner could team up against those from the opposing banner.

what i would like to see is missions just for HUNTS/Mini-games and the like, that only the people playing can join and stay open till filled, with a mandatory join in for people playing.
this would make the mini-games funner for those playing, and would end the whole "your hiding you targets in the arena BS"
that happens every hunt, every time we have any mini-game which teams/alts are targets.which is the main reason most people don't play the mini-games, it gets un-nerving hunting for targets to find out the target is only going into arena, or not being played at all, when others in the team are, and there is a limited # of targets to hunt.
but that just my 2ç

I think clans and sub-groups is very imported in the Transformers Universe. Think about it for a sec. The comics and tv series had them. Wreckers, Dinobots, etc. so. Really! My 3 roommates and I are a group. I'm an
:MAX:
RED: mixed with the main group as , DemonWolf is a :MAX: ,
DemonStrike is a
RED:
, and MasterCroc? is an
. I know its weird having a
RED: in the group but hey it all good! Our group is called Raiders Clan. DemonStrike has tolded me personally that when HMW2 starts he's might switch over to being a Maximal. He just wishes he could keep the Alt-Modes he has since they fit all of his characters. They are just sitting back and waiting for the restart to happen. So yeah Clans should be allowed.

Let's do this!

Yes well ... when the opinion from the Mods seems to change on a daily basis ...
i think it's more to do with which mod you ask.
I know which one not to ask.
the one not persecuting us?

That might be interesting to somehow work in as a 'scripted' event...
Like a 6 month Dark Ages or something.
Anyway, please have a little patience with the moderating staff guys. Remember, time passes, membership turns over, etc. Some members are going to operate on directives established long ago. Those policies may be obsolete, may be not, but the important thing is, they were probably acting simply on what they believed was the site/tradition endorsed policy, rather than on their own pesonal feelings. One thing I think we do need to do as moderators is to get our positions synced up, so that you guys will have more consistency in dealing with us. Hopefully we can do that when OS returns, and all 4 of us can confer at once. So far I think Seibertron may be taking a laissez faire stance toward the issue, as in letting the moderators settle it, but that may change.
Anyway, once we get to talk things over next week, I'll do my best to make sure you guys know what the plan is, rahter than have everyone taking shots in the dark for the next eight months.

And the more I think about the more Burn's idea tickles the back of my mind.

I wish i could beleive this, i really do, but the fact a preivious staff member here, PMed me telling me he didn't like me and that if i asked questions again i'd be banned, means i don't beleive every individual mod is acting for the good of the game. We also know that the mods stick together, which is good; the last thing the game needs is one mod being pro something and another anti-, locking and unlocking threads as they go,they need a united front, otherwise it doesn't work, but that only works if the mods are all good people. as soon as one mod acts in a questionable manner, and the rest back him up no matter what, the entire moderation staff seem to be sanctioning dubious behavior, which seirously errodes their moral authority, and that turns the mods into just another Clan wielding awesome power.
I need to learn to use paragraphs. or full stops at the very least.

But the way I see it, the biggest stumbling block for clans in HMW is a lack of opponents. Unlike other games your opponents need to be online with you, so that limits it even further.
But if it could be clan -vs- clan with the occassional team up ...

Burn's for clans now? Interesting...
I agree with what Tammuz said, and as for what Caelus said... I have another relatively easy solution to having everyone on the same page. Well, 2. One is forum rules that are stickied or a announcement at the top of the forum, another is common courtesey (I know I misspelled that... ). It sounds corney, but really, even as a moderator, you should be treating the members as you would want to be treated if you wheren't a moderator. The three commons (sense, courtesey and deciency) go a long way, but are really underused in todays society.

Moderators are basically customer service, which is something most seem to forget. Fortunatly for a lot of moderators on a lot of sites, they're not paid. If they where... they'd be fired.
Burn's idea, in my oppinion, would be mucho kicko arseo. It'd be really awesome. I don't think it'd really be a programming nightmare though, but probably require more coding then there's time for.

yeah, but with the AWC/RDD, it's still general. I deal with enough smaller individ clans at school. Hint:None of them include me.
