I couldn't find any pegs or anything, but I managed to do this:

PG's arms go over Superion's shoulders to hold him in place, and PG's nosecone fits nicely into a small cut-out on Superion's neck. He's being held in place through a combination of the arms over Superion's shoulders, and Superion's chest flaps being partially closed around him. I spent a lot of time fiddling with PG's legs and this is the best configuration I could come up with. They kind of look like hydraulic cylinders or something, I guess.

Impressive! To answer your question, silverbolt (and soon, cyclonus) is the only torso bot that isn't designed to hold "hood ornaments" but I guess you made it work!

Not all Legends members of a given team turn into chest armor, in fact Groove for Defensor and Blackjack for Menasor will probably be the only ones to do this. For Menasor, it makes sense: G1 Menasor had a car for a chestplate, which is normally used for Motormaster's base mode. Blackjack homages that car, and to a lesser extent, the Battlechargers in sculpt and the G1 Micromaster in color.

As for Groove, I guess Hasbro never found a proper way to turn him into a weapon, so the poor pacifist gets to be armor too :lol:

I have mine folded up as the chest for Prime until the Hot Rod retool of Blackjack comes out.

I know he's SUPPOSED to be a gun, but I think his gun mode just looks like a pile of kibble. I don't like it. I also find it to be a bit too heavy for Superion to hold in most poses. If PG-gun is not pointing straight up or down, Superion's elbows are too weak to support its weight.
