Kids grow more quickly...

Postby Nico » Thu Jun 28, 2007 5:28 pm

Kid get older quickly today. Not physically, but mentally. Today, someone older then 10 playing whit toys is considered a looser and a baby. I heard that years ago that kid played whit toys even whent they where 13!
Im just saying there seem to be a "pression" that prevent them from staying kid. Society seem to make sure that they mature quickly.

I would suggest it. Hate to say it, but, from what I've read, your family seems pretty messed up.

Well, as unfortunate as his childhood was (or is), there really aren't any laws being violated from what I'm reading. A parent has a right to raise their child how they see fit, and if they consider 12 to be an appropriate age to stop their kids from playing with toy and doing kids stuff, there isn't a whole lot the law can do about it. Doesn't mean the parent isn't being an ass, but there you go. There could possibly be a case of mental abuse to be made, but such cases are extremely hard to prove. After all, what are you going to show in court? My father wouldn't let me play with toys at 12? A judge would probably throw it out. I know this is Canada, but the laws are probably not all that much different there as it is here.

Now when you're an adult, that's when you get your own. You set yourself up financially and independent from your parents that tormented you, and you cut them off. You don't call them, you don't talk to them, as far as your concerned they no longer exist. That's my solution. A lot of overbearing parents don't come to realize is that thier kids do grow up and will hurt them far more than anything else when they realize that they are no longer needed.

Sounds cold? Well, I'm a firm believer in karmic justice, even if I have to nudge that in the right direction.

Don't forget the part about Nico being punished for crying after falling down the stairs.

I have to ask, Nico, did you get any medical attention for that?

Just a Band-Aid. But my father isnt really a bad person. This happended because he married a women i din't even knew about before. She told him to raise me harder. He did it and he turned into a freakish guy. He wasn,t like that before she came into our life.
My father raised me whit my grandparent. When she came, i was around 7-year old. She seemed kind...but...after the marriage...

She destroyed my father. He's all broken in the inside. he does not live, he survive. Don't blame that poor man.

After this portion of my life ended, i returned live whit my grandparent. Thats where i am. Now, my father is softer whit my brother and sister. He no longer do stuff like that. Or maybe thats because they aren't old enough.

Don't forget i was raised whit my grandaprent and father. In those day, he wasn't really a paternal figure. he was more like a big brother. Of course, i love him. He's my Dad...but he changed. When SHE came around, she ordered him to act like a father and not a brother. Maybe thats why he became like that!

I knew that there where poor people dying of hunger, disease and that war was tearing this world apart. By never saw it whit my eyes. He showed me book of people blown to piece by bomb. Corpse populating battlefield. And african children whi worm in their stomach.
I never REALISED how much there was stuff like that...
When i was younger, i thought these where just a few isolated case. That only some place in the world where like that. But from that day on, i realised how much people where suffering from this!
