cmon! just because he speaks with a italian accent doesnt mean he cant be mirage! maybe when he landed on earth, he fell in italy and picked up the accent along with scanning the italian car for his alt mode! he IS an italian car so it would make sense if he adopted the accent too.

or maybe Mirage is stopping them from being up to no good. Ive heard that a some humans are in alliance with decepticons and could be doing some of their dirty work. He could be scaring them or maybe he'll disarm them without hurting them.

If you read the first novel, when Optimus met Sam for the first time he spoke to him in Chinese because it came up as the most spoken language in the world. Kind of stupid that they would figure that out, but wouldn't default to speaking english because they were in America. That being said I can see Mirage or whatever he's called realizing he is based on an Italian car and scanning information about Italy.

Besides, Mirage is a stupid choice for the Italia's name any way.

Holy mother of hell. This just dawned on me. Mirage is a Cybertronian Ezio!!! He just needs a white hood! That's why Megatron's toy comes with a hood so we could piece it all together! Hasbro, you are a genius!!!

ten bucks says he wont even have a name in the movie, and will only be known by the regular joe as the red autobot who was in that one scene with the swords..... its sideswipe all over again, except this time they wont even mention a name..

Cause so many of you are so damn hell bent on finding out every little aspect of the movie before hand, that enevidiable gets ruined for others. ya, Nelsona nd Bay have mis-informed us in the past, but you know what? For the most part its to try and keep what hasn't already been revieled a secert for those that would like to be surprised on opening day.

But also consider this: The four characters Nelson mentions are Skids, Mudflap, Wheeljack and Mirage. All of whom die.

To me it seems they're desperately trying to cover up character deaths so they don't lose shock value.

To answer this whole inconsistencies between "Rising Storm" and the look in the movies. In "Rising Storm," Wheeljack and Mirage are critically wounded and Ratchet makes that whole statement about being able to fix them, but they will never look or be the same. This would explain the difference in look between the different iterations of the movie-verse for these two. I too was concerned until I read that line...

Now to discuss this whole Mirage not Ferrari, Nelson/Bay misinformation stuff. I also believe that "wait and see" is going to be the best solution, as others have stated. Yes Nelson was a jerk in his delivery, but what do you expect from Hollywood bigwigs that hate when all their secrets exposed? Not saying it was justifiable to do so, but you have to learn to ignore people like that.

And there's nothing wrong with that. If everyone knows whats going to happen before hand, you bet thats going to hurt the bottom line dollar. many people aren't going to want to go see a movie when they know all of the secrets before hand. I don't blame bay or Nelson at this point. They've worked there butts off for the last year and it seems everything is starting to come unraveled toward the end cause a few people (I'm not saying you Starscream GaGa) can't just leave well enough alone and need to be spoon feed every detail of this movie. Then when those that have read the novel/prequel etc. come out with all the secrets, Bay and Co. make an attempt to try and keep some of them a surprise, people get all butt hurt, call bay every name in the book, and continue to ruin the movie for everyone by posting details of the new movie without spoiler tags!! (again, not aimed at you Starscream GaGa).

I agree on some points. Personally, I don't care for spoilers and enjoy being genually surpised in the theater. But, I don't think that a few spoilers will deter anyone from going to see the movie. All of the he said, she said, Nelson said talk annoy me more than the spoilers themselves.

True. Small things such as knowing who's going to be in the movie probabaly isn't that big of a deal.(unless its a key plot point) But lately people have been posting up some major spoilers without spoiler tags. Then when Bay and Co. try and debunk some of this stuff before it gets to out of hand, people go on this missions to prove them wrong I don't think thats fair. Oh yeah, I understand where you are coming from and I can agree that I definitely wouldn't want to be in Nelson or Bay's shoes(unless I received their salary ). I try to avoid threads completely that look like they could even have the slightest spoiler. It's hard sometimes though.

As far as the twins go, I will actualy be more disappointed if they are not in the film. I realize people went crazy over them (and not in a good way) but like it or not they were a huge part of ROTF. To just right them off in DOTM just seems like a waste to me. I know a lot of people are happy about it but i don't think it will be any better without them. I do not see Mirage, Wheeljack, or any of the other new autobots getting very much characterization in this movie. Especially since the cast is already quite large, Sideswipe still is a 2-liner, and we have to tie this trilogy up in a little over 2 hours. Anyway, I'm done venting & I'm still looking forward to the movie.

My theory(Might spoil):
Mirage(yes im going to refer to the ferrari-bot as Mirage)scans the ferrari and picks upthe italian acccent with it. he then transforms and begins to drive towards optimus and the other autobots.As mirage is driving,the foreign "bad guys" are chasing him in a tank(tank from trailer).He keeps driving until the "baddies" stop him at a roadblock.New to humans,mirage transforms and pulls out his blades and threatens the humans to not touch him.the "bad guys" stand there in fear as optimus and mabye some american soldiers arrive on the scene and sort things out.
