Um since Bay said in an interview that they were still wrting in lines, you may have missed it since it seems you still can't get over the newness of this and want to bash stuff related to it. Did you think that they would not add effects to the voice?

Yup, that'll do for Starscream. Now lets hear how he sounds when he puts a bit of welly behind that voice and starts to shout a bit. I hope it gets all high pitched and shouty.

The 'effect' is part of the site's fake distortion to files. Its not bashing, I'm trying to get you to open your eyes and not be hand feed whatever Bay & Co feed you. Most people just don't want to hear something when it rings of truth.

That's a pretty decent voice for Starscream. Not quite as whiny as G1 SS, but feels very much the same.
I do like how his voice kept changing, what with them being new to Earth and all.

I give it a pass. If the character has depth, I may even overlook gorilla bughead-bot.

Oh, stop it. You sound totally ridiculous right now. This is a Transformers movie, not some government conspiracy led by Michael Bay. On subject, though, I think this sounds awesome. Not as high as Latta, but close enough to be functional and pay respect at the same time. At this rate, I can't wait to see who they get to play Ironhide!

The way you said that, it sounds like you believe that deep down, everyone hates this movie, but they just don't want to admit it.

yeah i was thinking the same thing. i just don't think it fits with his horrific look. a rooster/gorilla/bug should have a more animalistic voice. it kinda seems too human for me.

I never really understood these interpretations. It's obvious they were going with a thematic design for Screamer. His legs aren't chicken legs, but velociraptor legs, since his alt is an F22 Raptor. And his head is clearly influenced by fighter pilot helmet designs.

Haven't been able to account for the gorilla arms though.

It's not as screechy as the original Starscream, but I like it. It has every other vocal characteristic of the character. They did a good job.

Wikipedia DID mention a simian design, which makes me think:

Have you seen simians move? They're faster and stronger than us, and better for climbing and moving.

The big arms probably add to the raptor legs in terms of running. Big arms would help Starscream move forward on his already superior legs, by way of momentum.

Think about it, when you run, don't you move your arms back and forth with every step?

Starscream's design is actually BETTER than any humanoid design in terms of movement.

Got to admit that sounded pretty good. Hope that is his Voice. Wonder who or what is doing it.

Dobson's StarScream is nothing compared to Chris Lattas StarScream!

whiny voice of woman the original starscream i thought the original starscream voice soudns simaler to megatron and more of an insect type voice just like the insecticons buti did like that voice very much and miss it thoug this new voice does fit him perfectly i like it alot the voice sounds very familar i cant recall where ive heard it before in an animated series.
