The Star Wars Toy Haul Thread

Keen beans. Now all I need to hear is that they'll be re-releasing a Coleman Trebor figure sometime, and I'll be set for Jedi releases.

Han Solo upper arms and torso, republic commando arms, vader legs and crotch, at-at pack and tubes, and a senate guard red version.

Excellent. I agree with Wheeljack. He's like a Cylon mixed with a mandalorian. Which equates to him being twice the badass.

Yeah, he looks awesome as hell. Always like Canderous, hopefully we'll get a figure of him soon, along with the rest of the KOTR crew.

That's something I don't get.
We got republic comm figs.
We're getting the latest game figs.
Why not the games that put the lucas arts games really on the map.
I mean we're getting Malak and Revan, but that's it.
I know Lucas watches or someone he employees watches sites and ebay for customs. I mean they are making a Commander Keller figure.
Im going to do an Ordo without armor shortly.

About the hologram Obi-Wan figure, yeah, there's a variant. The original shipments of him were a darker blue than the other hologram figures have been, but it was corrected later. I almost regret opening the dark blue one that I bought at the end of last year, since all I see are the regular ones now. Here's a pic of the darker blue Obi-Wan:

It's kind of hard to tell from that pic since it's not side by side with a regular holo figure. And he's lit up from my lamp when I took the pic, so he seems less of a dark blue that he really is.

The figure Cuy made is a character from the Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords game. His name is Canderous Ordo, a mandalorian from the Ordo clan. In the second game(Canderous was in the first game as well), he united the Mandalorians and became the newest leader of them, all the leaders of the Mandalorians called themselves Mandalore.

Durge wasn't a Mandalorian, his history is weird.
Wookiepedia tells it best.

Thanks for helping to clear that up. Definitely interesting... I had no idea that Durge was one of those "been around forever" kinds of guys. I only ever saw his apparent defeat at the hands of Obi-Wan in the Clone Wars cartoon, when Obi-Wan is inside of Durge and explodes him with the Force
I got my McQuarrie 3PO & R2 sets from Toyrocket yesterday! They're great, epsecially R2! What a shame that these were not mass retailed. In fact it seems downright lame of Hasbro. Well, we have a few more McQuarrie exclusives coming up... let's hope they're just as easy, if not easier, to obtain.
As for the McLuke figure... I realized that I did in fact order two of him. I got an email saying that I had to call in to authorize the shipping charge and non-discounted price, which was fine by me. I just have to wait for them to ship out next week
I decided the other day to go ahead and get the Comic Pack with Han & Chewie. Why not? Besides, according to Rebelscum's photo gallery, TSC's Stormtrooper with removable helmet shares the same body as the Comic Pack Han & Luke -- which means we can make our own "movie based" Luke & Han in Stormtrooper disguises as soon as we can get our hands on two of those Troopers!
A week ago I bought some SW stuff from a friend of mine: vintage AT-AT (missing just a few pieces, and no stickers), Orrimarko (POTF2), Chief Chirpa and Lumat (hoods & quiver, no weapons), and some vintage vehicle parts including the Death Star Playset's turbolaser. Finally I have something for my Death Star Gunners... okay, Gunner... to use! I also got a vintage Endor Forest Ranger mini-rig for a song. It's just one of those old toys that I always wanted but was never able to get for some reason or another. I dunno... it's greatly detailed and looks pretty SW-esque. I love it.
I have some customs in the works, but I won't say much until I'm just about done. I think you guys will really like them! I haven't done customizing in ages. I set up a work desk out in the garage here since there's more room out there for this kind of stuff. I just need a few moer supplies like gloss and dull coats, and a pin vise / hand drill...

Nice haul spike!
I got moisture farmers Luke and the new Vader with burnt annie head. The head is a strong likeness to a burnt Hayden.
Do you think we should start a custom thread or just post them in here?

Here's one of my latest customs.
I don't know if you guys have ever read visionaries.
But there is a story that takes place after episode 3 where Maul comes back to take out Obi-wan and Luke on tattooine.
In the story Maul has been following Obi-wan for a long time and is always one step behind.

In the story Maul has a new double blade sabre with an odd curve almost like Ventress double. I used two Dooku sabres to pull this off.

Love that Maul custom! I heard about a comic telling about how Maul lived after his seemingly deadly encounter with Obi-Wan in Episode I. The horns look great, I'm also wondering how you extended them? And also why his horns were longer (in the story)?
Man... I can't find anything in my area. If I need to start driving 20-45 minutes out just to find these newer figures, I'm going to sell my car and get something more gas-efficient.

Actually... they haven't put out anything new since I left a month ago! That's how sad my area is. I'm about to start ordering sets of figures for each wave from BBTS or EE or someplace.

Yes I do... $#!+ I forgot all about them! They're still here in a bag, which I now see is by my door. I have weekends off now though, so a Saturday or Sunday morning or noon or whatever would probably be best.

To Homer- Nopers. I don't need anymore, my local K-mart actually has a billion of them. Thanks for looking for me bro!
To Homer and Spike- The Maul custom comes from the book called Star Wars Visionaries.
http://www.starwars.com/eu/lit/comics/news20050315.html
It's a fantastic story.
First I drilled out the old horns with a dremel. The I took g-wire as I call it, it's that green coated wire that you see out near Christmas time at any local AC Moore's or Michaels.
I shaped the wire into the right size horns, following the pictures provided in the graphic novel.
Then I super glued them with Dr.Mike's super glue. It's a great glue, though can be very messy.
Thus making them hard and making it look solid, since it filled in the small void that the wire made when I formed them.
Then I used a model master paint that looked like exposed bone and painted them twice.
The reason for the horn length in the comic, i'm not sure. But my guess is, like any other animal with horns, when not taken care of they just grow like finger nails. Maul let them grow since he now felt like nothing more than a monster. To add to his now monstrous appearance.
But that's my guess.
I got in the mail today another Luke Skywalker McQ design and a 3po and r2 set.
I opened one of my Luke's now that I have two and I must say it's and ok figure, if his arms where completely articulated it would have been a much better figure imho.
I have another Luke and 3po set on the way, so then I can open the 3po set as well.
I got most of wave three on Saturday, with the exception of MCQ Chewie.
I need two MCQ Chewie's too finish out the wave.
I also got some more Death Star Gunners for custom repub comms.
I finished my Omega squad, from the repub commando series of books, the other night, so I'll take pics tonight.
