Transformers 2011 retail toy year in review,what were your favorites & awful toys of 2011?

The 2011 transformers toy year is almost over. so lets review what we liked & didn't like.

Please just review the 2011 TF toys that got released to retail stores or internet exclusives or 3rd party TF toys in the 2011 year.

This is not a "WHAT I BOUGHT IN 2011 TF TOY THREAD". You can list 2011 TF toys you liked but didn't buy. lets face it not everyone can afford to buy what they like. This thread is about what you thought were great Transformers 2011 Toy designs & which you thought were awful 2011 transformers toy designs.

please no 2011 TF media discussion in this thread. as discussion about the Transformers Micheal bay movies & IDW comics. always leads to threads getting shut down or members feelings hurt. No TF Prime cartoon discussion either in this thread. no rescue bots cartoon discussion in this thread.

please don't list any second hand toys you bought off ebay,garage sales that were not oficially released by hasbro or takara in the year 2011 to retail stores,import shops or as on-line exclusives.

Yes,you can include 3rd party transformers toys,but just make sure they were officially released in the 2011 year. please don't list any 3rd party toys you bought in 2011 that were released in 2010 or 2009,2008 or beyond that.

My personal comments:

here's my short list of Transformers toys that got released in 2011 by hasbro/takara to retail stores/import shops/on-line exclusives "I THOUGHT WERE AWESOME DESIGNED TRANSFORMERS TOYS",are listed below as follows:
(1) Takara masterpiece 09 rodimus convoy. I bought this toy.
(2)dotm leader sized ironhide.I bought this toy.
(3)dotm leader sized sentinel prime. I bought this toy.
(4)dotm voyager sized megatron. I bought this toy.
(5)dotm voyager size skyhammer. I bought this toy.
(6)Amazon 25th anniversary Unicron. I bought this toy.
(7)I only liked the ultra sized truck cab/robot optimus prime toy that came packaged with the ultimate optimus prime toy. I bought it for the cool truck cab ultra optimus & threw out the brick-former trailer/suit of armor.
(8)Takara DOTM DA-15 Jetwing optimus. I love this toy design. but didn't buy it yet due to it being so exspensive. i'll get this eventually.
(9)Takara DOTM DA-28 Striker optimus prime. I love this toy design. but didn't buy it yet due to it being so exspensive. i'll get this eventually.
(10) Takara MP-09 Version 2.0 Rodimus convoy. I have version 1.0. I love this MP-09 Version 2.0 toy design. but didn't buy it yet due to it being so exspensive. i'll get this eventually.
(11)akara MP-10 Convoy. I love this toy design. but didn't buy it yet due to it being so exspensive. i'll get this eventually when Hasbro releases this toy in america retail stores for under $70.

my list of 3rd party Transformers toys that were released in the 2011 year that i thought were great toys/Accessories & I bought are as follows:
(1)the darkwing new head+3 eye visors+2 riffle guns kit. released by Veneska. sorry for mispelling the 3rd company name.
(2)I bought a protector from bbts.com but he doesn't count towards this 2011 release year list. because protector was released in 2010.
(3) the trio of 3rd part G-1 Styled insecticons. i likd them but couldn't afford to buy them. i might get them one day down the long road.

The transformers toys that were released in 2011 by hasbro/takara to retail stores/import shops/on-line exclusives. that I thought were awful designed 2011 TF toys are as follows:
(1) 95% of the DOTM toys released in the year 2011. I only liked & bougt 4 dotm toys & their listed above in this thread.
(2) I thought hasbro did a inferior,much uglier,must cheaper colored version of their masterpiece TRU Rodimus prime toy. since i'm a fan of rodimus,I bought the TRU MP Rodimus.
(3) I thought hasbro's amazon unicron was much inferior to the 1986 movie accurate takara 2010 unicron toy. i hate the silver/grey torso on amazon unicron the most. needless to say i bought this because it's still a better looking colorec toy than armada unicron,just not better colored than 2010 takara unicron.

TRU MP Rodimus was the best purchase I made. I already had the first release of the Takara version, and unlike many others, I got lucky enough to have one that had no flaws. Seriously. Transformed perfectly, fit into the trailer perfectly, everything was fine. But I wanted the TRU version as well, so I got it. Looks damn good.

DotM Ultimate Prime was the worst. I bought it for a friend, and was momentarily awed by it, and decided to get one for me as well. I regretted it a few weeks later.

As per every year, Seibertron.com will be making it's own year in review thread at the end of the month. Would appreciate it if all members could hold it off till then.
