Yeah, DOTM Shockwave sucked, what made him suck even more was the fact that everyone and everything kept hyping him up. The comics hyped him up, the advertising, the team, the characters in the movie, and the only ones that kinda summed him up perfectly were Brains and Wheely. "Oh look, it's Shockwave, we should move along".
And what of the big badass battle everything built up to? Optimus casually kills him along with a whole bunch of other background characters.

Yeah, it's such a shame how much he was used as a mere red-herring to hide the surprise of Sentinel Prime's betrayal, which was similarly irksome.Dead Metal wrote:Yeah, DOTM Shockwave sucked, what made him suck even more was the fact that everyone and everything kept hyping him up. At least they hid it well. The only reason I got spoiled was because I read the Transformers Vault before the movie

I like shockwave from the G1 cartoon series. He is boring just like a scientist should be. But I would be open to a classics rendition of his brother Shockblast as the more wild one.

I can dig that. A mix of all of them would be fantastic.
Of course, IDW already kinda gave us one of those.

Yeah, like, IDW Shockwave has made use of FOC Shockwave's design and, in my mind, has always had the G1/Animated Corey Burton voice. So he's got 'em all.CombaticonsCombine? wrote:Madeus Prime wrote:For personality: IDW cannot be beat.

So, yeah, a housekeeper.
And a scientist. He built and maintained an army of drones, and the space bridge. On top of that his base of operations was referred to as his lab at least once.

I like the G1 Shockwave who started it all. I also liked the Prime series version of Shockwave. I think both are awesome.

Yep. Marvel Shockwave voiced by Corey Burton with a Quakewave toy FTW.
With IDW Shockwave a very close second.

I believe IDW Shockwave has the best characterization. In terms of voice acting, I much like Energon's Shockwave

Animated Shockwave, definitely. The design was great, I was impressed by how he had two robot modes and a different vehicle mode for each one. And he was dangerously competant, too.
I'd give Predaking that nod, personally, but to each his own.
