I understand both points of view here. It's obvious from your reaction that you didn't design your character too have G1 sweep coloring. However, as Shade pointed out there is a similarity. The sweeps were a moderate blue with a grey face and thighs. You character is dark blue with a grey face, thighs, and biceps.

I'm not dissing your character as he has a very cool design and color scheme. I'm just saying that what Shade said was a fair assessment even if that wasn't your intention.

I have to agree with Shade and Dev, it's a nice color scheme but quite reminiscent of the Sweeps, the final decision on this is yours though Gryph.

Still need to do some tweaks. I need to paint the other guns, find a way to attach the copter blades, touch up on the paint...That kind of stuff.

Crap...The Machine one turned out smaller then the Reformer one... :evil:

I unfortunately can't help, seeing as my characters so far are all badguys.

I do have a bit of an update of my own though. I've begun the process of my first custom, pre-earth Gryph. I know the character doesn't show up untill way later on, but I had planned it as my first kitbash atempt for awhile. I won't be doing much of it yet though. I'll be doing most of the spray painting outside and it's too friggin cold right now. lol

ok so i am going to try the photobucket way of submitting things real fast hopefully i have the skill to do so but any way here are images of what are going to be sytax ad error to machie who may be able to see the reformer way with a little persuasion

It looks a bit simple, but you can draw poses and depth very well. Could you do some sequentials, like a fighting scene or just walking and talking?

yeah sure can do that, i am trying a few poses right now as a matter of fact with error, he seems to be the one i am obsessing over trying to get the face the body and trying to get a transform sequence drawn out i hope i can do the same for syntax as well, other than that any good?

Well...since I'm moving into a new apartment tommorrow; I'll be setting up a workbench so I can properly work on my figures for the series.

I still have them; and I will be working on them as soon as I can get everything situated out at my new place!

But it's just so good to see that this project ain't dead!

hey ms heard about the fire it's good to see it hasn't defeated your inspiration to recreate your robots for the series, and maybe like the pheonix you will rise above the ashes of the past to overcome all the adversary that has come in your path so far and create even better works of masterful art. hope things are going well for you now. take care. and good luck.
