That gives me an idea. What if several (or as many as possible) of the board members who attend BotCon get together and compile a collection of all their best BotCon photos into one giant gallery for the site? That way all the people who didnt get to go could see it from all sorts of perspectives.

i can't get enough of the trailer. It's simple but really freaking cool. The backwards loop puts it over the top for me. I was using my laptop last nite and pulled it up to hear it. Heard it once all the way through, then rewound it to play just the backwards music, played it, then my laptop shut down right after. Battery died. Awesome effect! Soundwave & Blaster would be proud.

I think I might actually be able to make it! My boss, bless his heart, is gonna gimme some money for this trip...says I deserve a REAL vacation! I have some figuring to do and will "quote" him a figure to work with....I am, once again, excited! I cried when he did this!

Predicted gas prices in April: $3.25 per gallon
Total cost for fuel: $75.84 (approx)

Hotel Cost:
Current Botcon Hotel (The Hyatt) cost per night: $135.00
Current Hotel Tax Rate in Cincinnati: 17%
Since I don't know your plans (who you may share a room with, how many days you plan to stay, I'll let you figure this out).

$135.00 x # of nights x 1.17 = total cost of room
-----------------------------
# of people in room = total cost per person

For example, say you plan on sharing the room with two people and plan on staying Thursday through Sunday. This is how much that would cost:

$135.00 x 3 x 1.17 = $473.85

$473.85 / 3 = $157.95

Misc. Costs:
Food for weekend = $60.00 (approx)

So, your total cost to go to Botcon is:

$300.00 + $75.00 + $157.95 + $60.00 = $592.95

Then, if you want to figure in the souvenier sets....

$160 (estimate) + 6.5% sales tax = $170.40

New total = $763.35

So if you want all the exclusive toys, you're looking at about $800.00 just that and the convention weekend alone.

Probably should add on at least another $200.00 to play with in the dealer room for a total of about $1,000.00

well i did find the flight price to detroit for class 2 flight seat cheapest i could find might take the buss from there to botcon
