i have to agree that victory has an infectiously good theme tune, so much so that i actually have it as my ringtone!

G1, Season 1 is my favorite. A bit cheesey by today's standards but iconic none the less.

Season 2, was a little bit of a remix, not too bad, but what was up with season 3 and those ridiculous "ha" sounds every other second? It sounds like the theme song is laughing at me in a creepy robotic tone. Hell, it probably was laughing at me, many of my favorite characters were killed off in the '86 movie and they were replaced with characters like Rodimus Prime, Blurr, and Wheelie.

As an interesting side note, I think of the G1 series, the best opening animation sequence was in Season 4, The Rebirth. That was a really well animated opening and had some pretty cool, fluid action sequences despite the music. I think Season 2 is a very close second as far as opening animation sequences go.

G1 all the way for me too! But particularly like Season 3 opening. it's a one of the most funky and danceable ones.... I like it!

Chalk me down for G1 Season 2, I think it's the best version of the original series theme. Plus I like the opening sequence... there's just something dementedly funny about Blitzwing getting squished by Omega Supreme.

However, that might change when the Animated series comes out, because what I've heard of that theme song so far is really awesome. (Even if I still can't make out the second line of the second verse... wish we had a better quality version of it.

)

I dunno The Beast Era Never had the Original Theme song. Ya know... "Transformers..... More than meets the eye,Autobots Rage the Battle to destroy the evil forces.......ect". Thats The REAL AUTHENTIC TF theme song with Lyrics and all. I guess thats why I never got into Beast Stuff. It didnt Open as Transformers to me.

The "OYE" feel of Cybertron realy spoke to me in the way that made me thing, "THIS IS JUST WRONG, BUT FUNNY"

G1 was hoaky, but classic.

Overall I'd have to say the 86 movie theme did it the best. It got rid of the hoaky feel, and turned it modern for the time without it being that suck ass new wave crap :-?

Almost, pre-industrial :grin:

I'd like to see Cubanate or KMFDM take a crack out of it over Paul Oakenfold and see what happens

Jumping on the 'G1, Season 2' train. Had a nice beat to it. Of course, this is excluding the 1986 movie theme, which is pretty much the best song ever, in my opinion.
