Is ROTF black colored HA battle blade Sideswipes robot eyes blue or red?

I recently bought a ROTF Battle blade Human alliance sideswipe toy off ebay & it arrived last week. on the back of the box,it shows the robot eyes as being blue.

But when I look at internet pics of various photo galleries of ROTF HA Battle blade sideswipe. it shows the robot eyes as being RED. I was was wondering if these were pics of fellow TF fans who did customs on their TF toys. by painting details on the toys.

Sometimes with Hasbro & Takara,what you see on the box art is entirely different than what you see on the toy you open up & play with. sometimes the final colors make it to the toy but not to the box art.

So,did the robot eyes come in two colored variants? are some versions with blue eyes & other versions with red eyes? or which eye color is actually on the robot head toy?

Ofcause,the obvious response would be: "dude just open up the box,transform the toy & find out the robot eye color."

The probleme is the toy cost $29.99 & I bought it for the sole purpose of keeping it MISB.

I already have the first silver car version Of ROTF HA Sideswipe opened up & on a display shelf. I don't feel I need to open up two misb toys. sometimes I like to keep one toy misb & keep another dulpicate opened up & on a display shelf.

I;m surprised I didn't find an actual Seibertron gallery oin this guy. I haven't opened mine either, he looks great sealed.

Discharge,I'm just wondering if you can get your box,turn it around & check out the eye color on the back of the box art.

is your back box art robot eye color blue or red?

Personally I love the red eyes on the toy pics & the gold colored forehead.

The eyes on the box suggest they should be blue, that's nothing new for Hasbro, they seem to change things before they actually go into production.

the HFTD Black HA Shadow Blade sideswipe toy in this u-tube video,has no gold crest color on the robot mode forehead. similar to the box art the toy in this u-tube video has a all black colored forehead.

While I was un-able to see the blue in the front of the robot head in the u-tube video. I was able to see the translucent blue eyes sockets part on the back of the upper robot head.

So,now i'm baffled & confused. is the pics in this thread with the red eyes & gold crest forehead a fan custom. where a fan took a paint brush & personally colored the blue eyes red & then personally colored the black forehead gold?

or are their 2 color variations of the head? one with red eyes & a gold colored forehead? the other with a black colored forehead & red eyes?

the thing that really puzzles me is as follows: the toy has a flip up/down face plate. this seems like a battle mask. their is a face under the mask with teeth & a nose. while the face plate mask has a different styled face. THE PUZZLING PART IS THE PICS with the red eyes & gold forehead reveals a combination of both faces.

I'm seriously thinking this pic in this thread with the red eyes,gold painted forehead & combination face is A CUSTOM that a fan did for his TF toy collection.

Sadly their isn't many on-line pics of this. it seems like everyone copied & pasted this one guys pics & claimed them as their own.

I guess i'll watch some more u-tube videos & see if i see any red eyes & gold forehead crest ROTF HTF HA Shadow blade sidewipe toy reviews. my guess is I won't but I'll do the research anyways. I'll most likely find black forehead & blue eyes hftd ha shadow blade sideswipe toys on u-tube video reviews.

I suspose it's possible the takara version has red eyes & the gold forehead.

the thing that makes me think the pics in this thread is a custom. is the red eyes look really big. while the blue eyes are small. When the face plate flips up the gold forehead crest should not be on the forehead with the under face.

Takara never made HA BB Sideswipe. Red eyes is a custom.

thanks for the info regarding red eyes being a custom.

i had a hunch it might have been a custom. because the blue eyes are way smaller than the red eyes. the face seems to be alterted to have a combination of both faces details on the robot head.

I think the guy who did this custom also repainted all the dull silver parts on the robot mode+face & made them into more shinner looking chrome/silver colors.

A HA Battle Blade Sideswipe was never made by either company. HA Shadow Blade Sideswipe was made by Hasbro, and it has purplish blue eyes, same as the windshield:
