If I was in charge of Pre movie cons, I would never have started the war. Live in peace and harmony with the bots. Have a huge celebration with their leaders to mark 100 years of peace. Run a little late due to an emergency with a crippled con ship.

Oh dear. A massive thermonuclear bomb went off. Even the ones that survived the blast got fried by the EMP sent out by it. Ah well. Without any leaders, guess it's my job to step up and assume overall control of Cybertron. Any trouble makers get executed on the spot by the Guardian robots. The blast is blamed on a lone scuzzoid hired by the Quints who wanted to reclaim Cybertron.

Any malcontents in the army are sent off to stop the Quitns. They get captured and executed on Quintessa.

I now rule Cybertron with minimal loss of life. And better yet, the bots want me to be leader because I helped keep the peace for all those years.

That's how you take over a planet. :grin:

If I was post movie bots, I would have sent the Dinobots and the Wreckers to Charr to finish off the cons once and for all.

demoralize the Autobots

kill Optimus
enslave all of the humans
then suck energon outta Cybertron so its stuck on reserves (though in reality I have enough energon for it over in the closet) This would make them decide rather to save earth or cybertron. So then I got Autobots stuck in debate while I continue my dirty work
find a way to reprogram a few autobots to my cause to further their anger and debate

face it, they would feel so "we are literally **** here!"

If I were 'con leader, I would seek to discredit & undermine the influence of the Autobot elders through propaganda, preferably useing real dirty secrets (exagerated where necessary) but I'm not above outright lies and framing them. As the Autobot population turns against their rulers I would back resistance factions to cause trouble, then conquer them in the ensuing chaos. Once under my control oposition will be dealt with brutally, but the Autobots would be treated as equals to minimise resentment and resistance to my regime, and perhaps even win a few over. After the dust has settled and a few decades have passed with me as ruler I would suggest creating a new united symbol and name for out people and have both sides pledge allegiance to it, thus cementing the unity and removing any visible differences between the 2 former factions.

Kind of what Uncrazzimatic said, if Decepticon, lie your ****' ass off to your new human friends. Once on your side (through "gifts" of simple Cybertonian technology), have them use the new tech on the Autobots in conjunction with your own army.

as an autobot i would use my enemys tactects against them, fight dirty. war and death is a horrible thing but if killing an enemy as evil as the decepticons is the only way then it must be done.

Hmm..

A's: Infiltrate the Decepticon base. Plant a few viruses, worms, and trogans in their mainframe computer. It will make colorful confetti out of the computer's data core. Plus it will shut down all the ship's systems. While there is confusion and chaos, I contact an elite Autobot strike team who will enter the base covertly and plant a big mess-load of EMP bombs throughout it. After me and my Strike Team leave, we will detonate the bombs, and these will release an EMP wave that will put all the'cons into stasis-lock. They will be unharmed and alive, and they can be collected and revived and sent back to Cybertron to stand trial for war crimes.

D's: I convince the human population that the Autobots are evil and want the planet for themselves. I would say that the evil Autobots are trying to stop us from collecting Energon to help revive our poor forlorn planet. But I would secretly control human political elections, to ensure canidates sympathetic to the Decepticon cause were elected. As more and more politicians favorable to us come into office, I would begin to suggest that maybe to help humans remain safe from the Autobot threat, that I would need to have some of my men set up bases on differant continents and in major cities to help keep an eye on things. And I would explain that we would need to get energon, and to not hinder us when we have to go collect it. As the human population turns on the Autobots, I would have my puppet governers and politicians enact laws to strengthen the positions and influance my city commanders and generals have in their assigned countries. And then my men would convince the peoples of the world to make me the ruler of the planet, as it is best and I would help keep the Autobots at bay and eventually finish off their dwindling numbers. When the humans finally realize too late that I am evil and no good, the Decepticons will have already become the new top species on Earth.
