I hadn't expected to lose quite that much. I wrote a script to play Battle Beasts while I was away. To my horror upon coming back I had lost that much. :shock:

I will never try to automate that again, that's for sure.

Writing a script or Macro to play any part of this game for you is against the rules. That's why we used to require passwords to admit your bots to missions or arena battles.

Since, AFAIK, the 'rules' for the game aren't clearly stated anywhere you would have seen them, I won't issue a warning, but please do not use scripts to play the game while you are gone.

All's forgiven - back in the day, long before I became a mod, the rules for the game were well understood, if somewhat controversial, and so were never written down.

With the player population having turned over several times though, we should perhaps consider actually posting them somewhere.

That I remember from days of yorn:

1) Thou shalt not break the rules of Seiberton. Specifically:
- Thou shalt not keepeth more than one account.
- Thou shalt maintain decorum appropriate to a PG-13 site. No obscene names, mottos, or bios in the game.

2) Thou shalt not share thine account with another player.

That's everything I can think of that was ever official. Obviously there were some code-of-honor rules, but they were unenforced, and the big one (against level-bullying) is no longer pertinent.

Some of the other here-since-the-beginning players might have stuff to add, and if we're going to put together some sort of posted list, there are things we may want to discuss.

Man, the Macro-Saga was a LONG time ago wasn't it? I think I was still living in a college dorm when that was going on.

Probably. Winter/Spring 2004 was my last few months in the Dorm, and I'm almost certain I remember having to type in those damn codes while playing in my dorm-room.

It wouldn't have been so horrible if it hadn't been for that one Japanese name that no-one could read. :lol:
