I saw the first 2 episodes of the serie.

Well ...

It was pretty good actually. The plot was much more interesting than i imagined. And the stories is built on life lessons, which is pretty neat if you ask me. Aaah ... good ol' days where Tv learned children to take care of them self, instead of cracking up after eating 10 tons of chocolate cakes ...

Btw, i have watched the He-man toy commercials in a long time now. Now i see that alot of the characters actually appeared in the show. Hehe.

So ... i have taken a decission:

If Mattel launces a new line of He-man reissue figures, lead paint free* ofc, ill go get some of em !

*I hope you understood the Mattel lead paint thing. Really, i dont know about there is any lead paint on the old He-man figures, but ... who cares?

Are you talking about the original He-Man or the more recent series?

I never saw the old one, but I thought the new one was pretty good.

Mattel already did a reissue of many of the original figures prior to and during the new series. I snatched up several since I was a big fan of the original series. They missed some characters though so it would be nice to see them do another round of reissues. Masters of the Universe is going to gain a lot more popularity if the movie gets off the ground. I've heard predictions that it may be possible that the movie could get released the same year as GI Joe. How 80's would that be?

I never really got into the Masters of the Universe cartoon series from 2002, but everyone that kept up with it said it was really great. Based on the few episodes I saw, it looked pretty good.

I was never a big fan of the 1990 series "The New Adventures of He-Man". To be fair, by then I was really more into GI Joe, Transformers, and Nintendo so I didn't watch it much. It was it's own seperate line between the original 80's series and the 2002 reimaging of the orignial series and was definitely different. He-Man was in the future on a planet, oddly enough, named Primus. He had a pony tail and wore blue spandex pants. Skeletor was a bug eyed looking... well alien skeleton.

There is a lot to the Masters of the Universe and He-Man mythos so you definitely have a lot to check out if you are new to the lines. I'm not sure about the 2002 episodes, but I know all the original 80's episodes are available on DVD as well as "The New Adventures of He-man". If you are looking for a good site like seibertron.com that is aimed at Masters of the Universe, check out he-man.org.

And in that show He-Man was voiced by Gary Chalk. It's quite funny to hear him refer to Primus out of a TF context.

Totally forgot it was Gary Chalk. He did the voice of Man-At-Arms and a couple of other characters from the 2002 Masters of the Universe series.

Most noteably he did the voice of Optimus Primal from Beast Wars and Beast Machines. He also was the voice of Optimus Prime for the Transformers during the Armada, Energon, and Cybertron series as well.

I guess He-Man and Transformers have a few more things in common in addition to a thread I started a while back about Brawn and Man-At-Arms being seperated at birth. I believe you commented in it Leonardo.

Especiallly considering that the old Man-At-Arms figure had no mustache.

And yet another case of seperation at birth:

Speaking about the Man-at-Arms figure I used to have that. Its right hand grip is weak. When I tried to put its mace into its hand it fell. The solution? The mace had to be tied to the figure's hand with a rubber band.
Note: The Man-at-Arms figure illustrated below doesn't belong to me. Mine disappeared a long time ago.
