Botcon 2005 was my first one, and I didn't know anyone either. I was totally new to the whole scene and didn't really know what to expect. I knew there would be people there who shared similar interests, however I'm usually shy about just going up to perfect strangers and making conversation - even in a setting like Botcon. I found it's real easy to make friends when you smile and just start off by saying "hi", and the rest will just happen on it's own. If you seem friendly and approachable you should have no problems. That's how I met my two good buddies in 2005, and we've been hanging out at every Botcon since then.
It's all about the Primes baby!

I did host a huge party last year at BotCon...probably will again this year.
Just keep an eye out for the announcement as we get closer.
