Watching the previews for the second Transformers cgi movie, it reminds me so much of a sci-fi thriller monster movie. So if the Transformers only had monster movies to pick their alt forms from, what monsters would they pick?

Movie Prime King Kong because I just like hanging on skyscrapers with a human in my hand.

Grimlock Godzilla, destroy city, make big sparks, swat toy airplanes, me have fun.

Megatron Alien becuse fleshlings should be exploited.

Shockwave Predator because he is logical.

(Optimus primal complains saying he already chose King Kong.
Megatron and Shockwave would be fighting each other just like in Bud Budanskies comics.)

There is one that turns in to a kaiju monster - Deathsaurus

He's also a mythical creature to me in that I can't seem to own him yet. Someday...

I was going to suggest Megatron be _The Shining_ (Heeeere's megsy! All conquest and no play makes Megs a dull boy), and Shockwave would be _Blue Velvet_, (if you've never seen it, don't ask!) but then I saw you said *monster* movies. I was just thinking horror movies.

I think Optimus would be a _Big Lebowski_ guy.
