Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

One void it fills is for those who want larger than deluxe size seekers. It's an inch to short for MP but looks to be around the same height as Hegemon (and their takes on Ironhide and Ratchet), making him a reasonable size for Classics Decepticons, if you're building them in a slightly larger scale.Dead Metal wrote:Still don't understand what void is this supposed to fill?
It's Masterpiece sized, but isn't G1 accurate so most MP collectors will likely skip this in favor of the official MP. It's too big to be classics.
And it doesn't seem to be based on any comic incarnation of Starscream. I could understand the existence (and would likely have jumped on it) had it been based on the original idw F22 design, but this is well kinda weird.

Not sure why everyone are calling Masterpiece scale?
This shot clearly shows Starscream to be a head height over Nem Prime which puts SS at large Voyager or Ultra class?
Just because a figure is released at a certain height, does not make it an instant MP scale.

He looks to be about Hegemon height which is smallish Ultra class
Actually they are a fairly good size when you take into account that fact that most of the Classics Decepticons are Deluxe class and should've been at least Voyager class from the start. When you look at it from that point this starts to look a lot better. Granted it is a little bit too tall, but not so much that it is a pass (for me at least). I can understand not wanting to replace so many seekers, I'm hesitant myself, but his size is closer to being spot on than the Deluxe seekers.Rated X wrote:Arctorro wrote:Good to know someone else is seeing thisrobotmel wrote::-?

Technicalities aside, the point most people are getting at is that they are too damn big to be displayed with classics. We can call them Barbie doll scale if it sounds better. MP Scale figures make great centerpieces for a coffee table, but don’t appeal to many collectors who have too much invested in a classics scaled collection.
Hexatron is the exception due to Sixshot’s huge size in the comic books. So he scales with classics nicely.

Agreed, if they at least did an early bird special and knocked $60 - $80 off I'd not be able to resist. As it is atm I'll be watching and waiting as there seems to be a good chance that BBTS will be putting these on clearance.necr0blivion wrote:Not at that price, and not as a set. You could get their MP seekers for just about that much, so this really needs to be about $20 cheaper per figure.
