meh I'm not as impressed with him now than I was when the first pics came out at comic con. Still, I'll wait for some reviews and more pics to decide.

Even though this picture does in-fact suck, I will no doubt be purchasing this version of Bludgeon once I am able to do so! After all, he is one of my favorite formers of all time... hence my name.

Hmmm...you're a genius. Shredgeon will be a Bludgeon repaint and retool. He'll come with a Gutmaster unit called Krang. TMNT-Transformers Crossover.

I like those sparky bots! I had Doublecross(my mom bought it for me when I had my tonsils taken out when I was 5) and he was sparktastic until I wore out the sparky stuff. I still have him but I lost his gun a long time ago.

Maybe you can take it apart and fix the spark? I srly think those spark bots are a firehazard lol. :lol:

If I remember correctly (it's been years since I had mine), the spark mechanism uses a chunk of flint, much like a lighter (only bigger), so you could replace the flint and restore the functionality.

even if they don't ship it with a sword, since he's out in the wild already i'd bet kotoys et-al will have a knockoff verson you can pick up for the accessories if you're desperate for a sword.

i'm not sure if he'll be a cool toy or not, the robot mode looks okay but he'll need some serious posing. on the other hand the colours look a bit pre-school in the camera phone pics - i think he'll be screaming out for a quality repaint when he hits the shelves.

I doubt the final design will eschew the sword and short blade. The main design point of this figure is to homage the G1 character, whose toy didn't have a sword but the character model did. Also, the sword is part of the cannon in alt mode so the difference to Stratosphere's shuttle/gun is that it's part of the alt mode rather than just a clip on accessory.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. This toy still strikes me as having a Movie style vehicle mode and an Animated style robot mode.

I had the same reaction to it but considering the bot mode is homaging heavily the G1 incarnation of Bludgeon, it's not too surprising that it's appearance is more TFA/cartoony than movie style. The same goes for the RotF version of Lockdown. Despite being given the live action movie treatment, the overall design still comes off as fairly TFA.
