Is it worth it?

I have a question about the weapon damage rating for a couple of guns. What is the point of gettng a $8,800 Plasma Blaster (Fp:1, Sk:1) when the basic $600 slingshot does the same damage (just starts at light)? Is it not really the same amount of damage because of the Fp and Sk rating? Does the Plasma Blaster starting at moderate really make that big of a difference?

Slingshot has a median damage of 9, Plasma blaster has a median damage of 11.

You know listing the weapons by low/median/high damage instead of something like light to devestating would be far more helpful.

yes it would, but i'm not a prgrammer, i'm just a girl whose good with numbers.
basically each weapon has a raw damage range based of two points the max damage and the min damage.
we have a set of umbrella terms like light, or incredible etc, depending where the min/max damage fall it gives the weapons those terms so a light to heavy weapon as a min dammage somewhere in the light range, and a max damage somewhere in the heavy range
when i came in there was no correllation between the damage and stats/energon cost/recharge times what i did was suggest going off stats and median damage, so all weapns with similiar stat requirments to the same median damage so while some 0/0 weapons might have a range of 8-10, others have a range of 1-17, but on average each will do 9 damage,
course all the numbers here a raw damages and will be affected by target's endurance and armour, and the attackers strength
