Is Transformers going to get rebooted after Transformers 3? what do you think will happen?
Is Transformers 3 really going to be the last of the live-action Transformers films? will the storyline continue after that? or do you think Transformers will get rebooted just as in the same way Batman did and now unfortuneately, Spider-Man is. I hope it continues, because there are still many Transformers characters, mainly Autobots and Decepticons from Generation 1 that have yet to appear in a live-action film.

fed up with reboots especially ones only a few years after the last film of the previous continuity. Batman's been the only good one as far as I'm concerned. It needed a quality reboot after Batman & Robin and it got the best damn one possible.
I would love these ones to continue even just because I love these incarnations of the characters more than any other.

I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!

I was expecting more responses than this, but really, I hope it does not get rebooted unless Transformers 3 really flops

I don't want a "reboot" but just more sequels. There are more sequels coming for Terminator, and they're not considered reboots. There's nothing wrong with the live action movies, except the writing. I don't have a problem with Bay. Even if he says this is his last film. Orci and Kurtzman are garbage, and that's the problem with the current films. Hopefully Ehren Kruger can do a bit better.

the Batman reboot by Christopher Nolan was totally necessary, since Batman and Robin from 1997 was total garbage, Spider-Man 3 was not as bad as most people make it out to be, it could have been better, like it was not as good as the previous 2 Spider-Man films were, but it was not horrible up to the point that a reboot is necessary. I want to see more Decepticons and Autobots in the future Transformers movies.

Yes. It was.
I'd rather watch Batman and Robin over and over again before I watch the piece of crap known as Spider-Man 3. It was worse than RoTF. At least I can laugh at Arnold's idiotic one-liners in B&R. Spidey 3 had one thing going for it: Venom. But everything else, especially Tobey Maguire, ruined it. He was so wrong to be Peter Parker. James Franco, playing Harry, fit Peter so much better.

I still think they could have easily carried on with Spiderman 4 without rebooting if people really wanted to. If comics themselves rebooted everytime there was a bad story they'd be doing it every couple months. I think the movies need take a hint from comics and simply retcon whateer doesnt work and keep going. The hulk movie was a perfect example of them just continuing on without giving us yet another origin movie.
Sure there's series that badly need rebooted. Superman would be one of those. Highlander would be another. Transformers for most part hasn't done anything to paint themselves into a corner yet. I doubt they will for the third film. So as of this moment I say no to rebooting the series. I dont feel they should strive to either.

Well, It defenetly needs a reboot. First of all it should be a serious movie, like Terminator or Matrix. " not a comedy". Second, the transformers are the main charecters, "not the humans". Third, Starscream is not a "egor" charecter with a hunchback as he is potrayed in the movies. He's just as powerfull as Megatron, so it needs to be made completly different. With a director like a "James Cameron" style of movie making.

Strongly disagree. Transformers has always had some lighter side to it. It only supposed to take it self serious to a point. I'd read some of dreamwave's comics if I needed a more boring and grittier (basically the 90s take on everything.) version of transformers.
Basically out of same vein most comic movies are in. Enough serious to not come across as loony tunes but so bogged down with being serious it's never any fun.
Alot of kids are going see it (who's going buy toys besides the collectors.) so needs have a wide array of appeal. Which makes more money than the dark and gloomy direction you're talking about.
Far as bots getting screen time till becomes cheaper film cars and humans that's not going happen. Again it grounds the movie in real world as this take is what if transformers appeared in the real world not lets directly clone G1. Which Transformers fight on own front lawn and only a handful of us seem to notice or care. It takes the hard nerdy edges off the franchise and makes it more widely acceptable.
Ultimately you want people make a Transformer heavy story it be better off doing an entirely CGI or animated film. It's just cheaper and makes more sense. Don't expect that in live action because it kind of defeats point of live action if there's no people in it anyways.

I hope the Autobots: Sunstreaker, Gears, Brawn, Cliffjumper, Bluestreak, Mirage, Hound, Trailbreaker, Wheeljack, Huffer, and Wincharger will all appear in a live-action film someday.

Whats so bad about SM3? Honestly? It has every thing that was great about the first two, plus a darker story and Venom! I loved emo spiderman, because thats exactly what I'd do if I was spiderman, go around and kill a bunch of criminals with no mercy! I've always wanted to see a ruthless Spiderman who doesnt take crap from any one. He was always being pushed around in the first 2 movies, but in the third one, it finally came back around full circle. So, honestly, what is so bad about it?
In Spiderman 1 he was just trying to control his powers and his every day life, with his best friends father trying to kill him. In Spiderman 2 he was a whiney bitch who couldnt except the fact that MJ didnt want to marry him, and he even said himself at the end that they couldnt! But here Spiderman 3, Harry finds out the person that killed his father is his best friend, Spiderman fights his dark side, all his friends hate him, and he wants to take revenge for his uncle's death. This is the best of them all IMO, because of those simple facts...and VENOM!

Spiderman 3 was a terrible retreading of what the animated series did in less time and better.(seriously go watch the 90s animated series take on the symibote saga. It shows just how good of a story we could have had.) There was just so many awkward moments as I felt embaressed for Toby Mcquire when I watched it. The whole jazz club scene was this giant big lipped alligator moment. ( http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... atorMoment ) About the only thing Peter does the entire time he's being "evil" I could back and say ok he finnally showed some backbone properly was when he got Eddie Brock fired. The rest was just him being weird than evil.
Even when he tried kill Sandman he didn't actually kill him. Which Sandman's crowbarring into Uncle Ben's death just crapped all over the with great power with great responsibility theme. With Flint Marko killing him it didn't matter what Peter did then. His uncle still died. And to make it worse...then Peter killed a guy who was just a petty robber not a murder in his scuffle for no good reason. It's all one messy retcon.
Then we get the whole new goblin thing. I didn't mind Harry being a hero. Infact I'd preferred it just they couldn't see to make up their mind what they were trying do with him. Instead we see Harry get his face blow off and killed senseless later because this movie was all over the place. (which they foreshadowed Harry dying entirely too much. )One min he's all making moves on MJ, next he's black mailing her. Then his butler decides to reveal that Norman killed himself after Harry has made several attempts on Peter's life. This guy was endangering both Peter and Harry's lives by with holding the truth. Like WTF is wrong with this guy.
Vemon should have never been in this movie. I was fine with the suit being brought in and Spiderman wearing it. It could have found it's way to Brock but the conflict on that should been left to a whole nother film. Eddie Brock didn't just steal Peter's GF. He terrorized him. He humbled him and made him feel helpless. You can't stuff that into a 15 min section of a film and expect that to do it justice.
As a long time spiderman fan this movie failed. About the only thing cool about the film was the Peter and Harry team up at the end. I ultimately left the theather torn as was so much to dislike offset by a few cool moments that were getting it right.(I felt the same way about Xmen 3.) The whole movie just felt like someone stuffed several stories into a meat grinder and made a sausage that was this script. Too much was going on but nothing was fleshed out enough to have much meaning. It was alot like watching Heroes during season 2 and 3. They had several good directions to focus on. Just pick one and stick with it for awhile instead of trying do them all.
For those of you who thought TL:DR here's the cliffnotes.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoNgMVFQNBI&ob=av3e

I think Transformers could see another movie after TF3. Maybe more based on Cybertron than Earth. We will probably still see Earth, but with a new cast of characters and in a different point in time.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.

Spider-Man 3.
Lastjustice pretty much summed up how I felt. And I didn't even really consider the Uncle Ben angle. My 2 main problems were how misused Venom was, after they did such a good job with Dr. Octopus, and Peter being all emo. I really didn't like that. If that emo crap was cut out, it would have made the movie about 30 minutes shorter and a hell of a lot more enjoyable. I did like to see the Sandman in there, though as was said, the whole uncle Ben plot was kind of messed up as well. The end fight was pretty good, and thankfully James Franco's performance didn't go to waste. I still say he would have made a much better Peter Parker. Casting Tobey Maguire was another huge mistake in the fanchise. Hell, even Topher Grace would have been better. The first 2 were good for what they were, but the third, too long, too much time wasted on useless parts.

Batman and Robin and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace are the worst comic-book movies of all-time.

That new Superman movie was by far the worst super hero ever. For me any way. I dont think Batman and Robin was as bad as alot of people said. It sucked, but nowhere near the ammount that people say. I'm probobly saying that because I didnt spend any money on it though. But I saw Twilight without spending money and I was pissed.

Yeah, Superman IV was really bad. B&R was campy and kinda stupid, but Spidey 3 was still a lot worse. And the new Superman movie was pretty good, IMO.

I have to completely agree that the Spider-Man would have been better played by someone other than Tobey Maguire. The kid has no charisma.

It's funny on how all of this changed to a different topic, but anyway, no movie is perfect, there is no such thing as a perfect film, there are always going to be critics.
