I concur.

The Shenlong prototype is revealed. Sort of a step backwards IMO from the previous two releases.

Realistically... That's about right for Shenlong. Remember, Shenlong's only real gimmick was it's infinitely extendable (at least in the anime/manga) dragon arm. In the anime at least, in order to make it even remotely interesting, they had to overhaul the suit as the Altron, and then it's gimmicks were just excessive. Remember though, the real beauty of this mold will be seen when it comes out as Nataku from Endless Waltz.

Random thought... Admittedly I'm a Tallgeese fan, but does anyone else get a boner thinking about what the Master Grade Heavyarms Custom will be like?

Well, it's official. Got the Master Grade Deathscythe for Christmas. Due to my work schedule though I won't get to touch it until tuesday! >.< The box is smaller than I was expecting considering it's a new master grade. About the same size as the box for the 1/100 Exia Avalanche.

Edit: I will be ordering some display bases monday. Is there one in particular that works best for Master Grades?

Some Master Grades come with their own display base, Deathscythe does not. There's a universal display base... can't recall the name at the moment.

Kotobukiya's Mechanical Chain Base kits work best with 1/144 scale gunpla or similarly sized model kits. They're too small for MG kits unless you mod them with something like pla plates.

Pla plates are styrene plastic sheets, available in varying thickness, that many modelers use to modify model kits and related kits like Mechanical Chain Bases.

Seems the GW-related models never seem to get any justice. Hopefully DeathscytheHell will be up to par. It's arguably the most popular of the GW gundams, both in anime and OVA. I wouldn't want to be Bandai if DH were screwed up. They'll be POing a lot of Duo/DeathscytheHell fans.

I've never really been a fan of the Shen-Long/Altron models. The HG's were amongst the worst I've done back in the day. I'm having a premonition that EW Altron/Nataku will have problems with those dragon fangs.

I hate to break it to you, but aside from coloration, "shields," and "backpack" equipment, the Master Grade Deathscythe EW and Deathscythe Hell Custom are identical. Think of one as the Strike Gundam and the other as the Strike Noir and you've pretty much got it. Even in the kit i have now, there are slots in both arms for shields such as the tiny little ones seen on the Custom. The backpack is attached in such a way that you can easily see it being swapped out for the wings. The shoulders pop off easily as well. The largest problems with this kit are the shoulder joints, hands and skirt pieces. You can not pose the arms at all without them falling off. If you wiggle the scythe around at all while trying to position it, the hands designed for holding it come apart. I am NOT a fan of this new interchangeable hand system bandai developed. Move the torso or legs around at all and the back skirts and front skirts like to pop off, because quite frankly, they are very loosely attached to begin with.

even with all that though... the kit LOOKS stunning. Also, those who don't like to paint will be quite thrilled with how accurately the colors are molded for this one

Over Flag is the only cannon fodder suit from 00 i've built, but it was still fun. My only experience with Tieren Taozis is from watching the anime. In a word? Explodey. You were hoping for Deathscythe weren't you? Did you get this on top of that?

Is the Tieren from 00? If so could you put up a pic. Outside of the main 4 I don't know the names of any of the other mechs. By the way, were my eyes playing tricks or will there be a mech from 00 in that new smaller scale Master Grade line?

Have a flight back to Victoria for University early tomorrow morning so I had to build the Taozi at light speed. I impressed myself as I built it under two hours.. a kit I've never had experience with. It impresses me as it's quick and pleasing to build. Much better than the Flags or Enacts. Sergei's version is featured in Gundam 00 S2.. and is armed to the teeth(Rifle, Machine Gun, Sword attached to rifle, and Carbon Blade). I think I've finally found something I can army build. I just wish I had more time with the figure.. don't feel like taking it with me to Victoria and it could use some marking and paint. So here it is..

My sister only got me the Toazi for X-mas but I'm happy with it. I didn't really expect her to get me MG Deathscythe and I'm sort of glad. I'd rather have the Endless Waltz version and after looking at Shenlong, It'll probably be EW for the entire GW squad.

Also going to get the 00 Movie Gundams once the movie gets subbed. It's already out raw so it should be subbed in no time. I'll let you guys know when it hits.. And seeing as the Taozi is pretty awesome and has got me hungry for more.. I might just get those Movie kits in advance..

Cheers guys.

Now, before I waste time to learn for myself, is this going to be some guy holding a camera in a movie theater recording it? Because that's the same reason I still haven't seen Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Fantastic. Also, 10 seconds left on the DL as if this post!

EDIT: Well, I can't say I know all that much about subbing, but I've seen it done much better than that. It probably would have helped if someone on the sub team spoke English as their native language. It's subs like that that make you appreciate Ted Woolsey.

It's still watchable, but the subtitles aren't exactly easy on the eyes.

Just finished Hyaku-Shiki. I know this kit's 10 years old, but if you haven't picked it up yet, you should. It definitely shows its age under the armor, but goddamn is it pretty when its finished.

Debating my next MG. 00 Qan[T] being newer should be pretty advanced, but i've heard that the Hi-Nu is the big daddy of MG gundams

Agree on the Hyaku Shiki.

I personally would pick up the Hi-Nu if you don't have it. It's a great build and looks impressive on display. If you are getting into the $75 price range the Sinanju is worthy of consideration as well if you like it's design.
