The answer to both is Sailor Moon is a crappy anime aimed at 12 yr old girls.

It's from Portal, one of the best games released last year. It also ties into the Half-Life story, so it's hard to tell it's story without also having to telling Half-Life and Half-Life 2's stories.

Death Note. It had a cast of interesting, compelling characters, a great concept, a great story, great art and animation, great writing. A lot of people thinks it's a dumb series, because they compare the Death Note itself to other, more traditional superpowers, without realizing that the Death Note works within it's own series, and makes for a great story.
