Awesome cartoon/anime intros

Motto: "Don't do drugs, beer's cheaper anyway!"
Now I'm pretty sure most of us like cartoons and or anime and all shows have one thing in common, they all start out with some kind of intro. So share the intros you think are awesome based on their music and or visuals.
video links are appreciated.

As I started the thread I'll go first:

GhostBusters I just feel like a kid whenever I see and hear it, it just has a special place.

Extreme Ghostbusters I don't know why but I kinda prefer this version over the original which I still love. I just think the video is pretty cool and kind of epic.

Bob Morane damn I loved that show and man did I love the intro, it's just perfect, grate music and mostly unique animation and not comprised of clips from the actual series. If you get the chance try to watch the series, it puts Indiana Jones to shame.

Godzilla the series This show ruled, the intro is awesome, the music, the animation and the angles plus the colours, puts the movie it was based on to shame.

Men in Black the series made by the same guys as Godzilla and Extreme Ghostbusters, weird I seem to be a fan of that studios work.

The Tick animated you just gotta love that song.

The Transformers season 3 version best version of that song.

Beast wars any intro Damn I love that track!

Skeleton Warriors Damn I would have loved this show as a kid, why isn't there MORE?!

Why can't I think of more right now? I watched a lot of cartoons as a kid, post yours.

Nice one Tekka.
I, I, I just found the one German anime intro I ever loved, the original Dragonball damn in retrospect it ain't that grate. But I also found the full version complete with the original music video, which is hilarious and scary. You can see it by clicking here but beware, you see some nudity (which is funny as the German version of Dragonball did not feature that scene) and hilarious German people.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Qd_IsxgAf8 - Thundercats Intro. Pure 80's awesomeness

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh11NDMHVl0 - MASK intro. Another catchy 80's cartoon theme that gets stuck in my head very easily

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve5rvM-YBac&feature=related - Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight: I don't usually throw around the word, "beautiful" often but this intro could be called such, it's a pure work of art.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WZAxC8AI7M&feature=related - Elfen Lied Intro: Another theme I'd say is quite moving. Very beautiful.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAvM7XYwbgU&feature=related
Guyver: The Biobooster Armor : This is the intro to the original 12 episode OVA. Personally I think it's pretty kick ass.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph8rdUo0B2M - Monster: Naoki Urasawa's thriller masterpiece. Great intro and outro which set the eerie mood of the show.

I've always loved Trigun's intro. It captures the different sides of Vash very well.

Not to derail this into an "anime vs everything else" thread, I just had to comment that I find that the majority of openings and intros that I enjoy most are anime. There's just the great way a lot of anime productions put together animation and music.

Back to the topic, I also love the Macross opening. The melancholy opening of the song gives way to a rise in mood but there's still a subtle sense of sadness throughout the music. It sets the mood perfectly for the anime series that's a war drama at the core of the story.

I love the Dragonball and Dragonball Z openings. After Z, the openings and the cartoons were...not so great in my opinion.

Cowboy Bebop is another favourite.

Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The Legend of Black Heaven/Kacho-Oji is a really rocking opening that I never get tired of. I love John Sykes' "Cautionary Warning".

Hokuto no Ken for the rocking song and Kenshiro's people-exploding antics.

Kiko Soseiki Mospeada. It's so 80s but in a good way. I love how anime openings during that decade loved using "grids in outer space". Lonely soldier boy.

Heavy Metal L-Gaim, another so very 80s anime and its opening song is catchy.

Silverhawks. I just love how there's a guitar solo in the middle of the song and it's a darn catchy theme song.

Saber Rider/Sei Jushi Bismark. This is one of the cases where I prefer the non-Japanese opening theme song. Anyone recognize a very familiar voice in the voice over during the opening? :D

Last but not least for now is Bubblegum Crisis. There was no set opening as it was an OVA series and each episode had a movie styled opening that goes right into the story and a different song for each opening and closing. I love the soundtrack for the anime, again very 80s, but it's a wonderful series that was well executed on all fronts. Story concept, art direction, animation, and soundtrack.

Yes, I absolutely love these! What I love about the Batman intro now is that until a few years ago I never realized the word "Batman" never appears! I'd never figure that out until I heard it on a DVD commentary.

Of course, I love the GI Joe movie intro which I think is the finest piece of animation ever.

One of my favorite openings I would share isn't available on youtube currently, but it's the fourth Patlabor TV opening (yes technically it's for OVA episodes, but it's all part of the same series) "You are the one" by Daizo. find it if you can.
