- Motto: "May God have mercy on my enemies, because I sure as hell won't."
If you've been here long enough, you already know how this thread goes.
If you haven't, well, you pick a certain number of good points and bad points for a game. (Most people do around three for both sides, but the more you can do, more power to you)
Also, if you don't agree with someone's review, go ahead and provide a rebuttal, but at least try to be respectful.
So, here goes:
Portal (PC):
PRO:
-Probably the first-ever First Person Puzzle Shooter.
-The puzzles require thinking, and lots of it.
-Ties into the Half-Life games in a way that should provide decent discussion among forums.
-Ending theme "Still Alive" is incredibly catchy.
-Easily deserves as many playthroughs as one can manage.
-The antagonist, GLaDOS, is an interesting character.
CON:
-Very short, and a lot more levels would've been appreciated.
-Some puzzles (Especially in Advanced Mode) can be quite frustrating.
-The player character lacks armor (Such as Gordon's HEV suit), so since there is no health bar, when you're up against turrets, it's impossible to know how long it is until you die. (Which, also because of no armor, is tragically short)
