I like Film Brain, he is a funny guy. I watch his stuff as well as alot of other TGWTG casts stuff regularly. I do feel he makes alot of valid points in his reviews but often he nitpicks way too much. He also brings up the points that I feel have been discussed to death (Devastators Wrecking Balls, Wheelie humping, The Twins being racial stereotypes, Simmon's butt cheeks, etc) and I know he has to bring those up, but I feel like its been talked about so much that its just annoying to hear complaints about them. Other stuff like not knowing what a space bridge is (to be fair though Jetfire gives a one sentence explanation of it)and who various transformers are is just a result of not being a transformers fan and just being a regular everyday Joe (much like Nostalgia Critic's Pokemon the first movie review I might add). Though him not knowing who the Arcee team is was kind of silly. He knew who Rampage and other characters where from I assume Wikipedia's summary, yet Team Arcee's name is establish in the shot when they are all riding in Shanghai. Just a nitpick of my own.
Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is a mess of a movie. I agree that the movie has too much comic relief padding but not enough action to warrant relieving us with the said padding. There are continuity errors galore and plot holes. Much of this has to do with the Writer's strike problem and the studio's inpatients to wait for it to end. However I do enjoy the movie. Its a decent ride of a movie and has some good scenes. While the bad stuff of the movie is bad, there is still alot of decent stuff. This film is no Dark Knight, but anyone going in and expecting it to be that is a fool. Transformer's are capable of telling very good story lines, but Micheal Bay isn't that good of a story teller. I do like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, It is a guilty pleasure of mine, much like the Pokemon movies (Well most of them). I know how alot of people despise the movie and its their right too. I have high hopes that Dark of the Moon will at least reassure some critics that these movies are capable of having a solid narrative.
TL;DR I like Film Brains Reviews, I think he can be too nitpicky at times, but he makes valid points here. I personally liked Transformers ROTF even though I agree it had alot of problems.
