The closest we got is columbus OH last year but somehow the MOFOs had all the hotels booked up a day after they announced it. Why was i gonna go and have no place to stay? Dont think ill ever be able to go.

Only the discounted rooms were booked. They still had plenty of regular rooms. I know, because I made reservations about a week and a half after it was "sold out". Was gonna be $220 a night roughly but they apparently booked some government official at the last moment. So she switched me a double bed room on the floor with the other con goers and I got her to give me the discounted price as well.

That is an alternative and new definition for recession. This "new" model looks at payroll indicators vs the traditional 2 consecutive months of decline. We were not in a recession based on the traditional model.

They were out of the discount package when I called to. They told me it was going to be $199 for Thursday night and Friday and Sat were somewhere around $150, I can't remember but I got those 3 nights. Is anything important/TF related going on Wed? From what I understand, the "tours" are for tourists to go local site seeing? I'm arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday but I only live 5 hours north.

I think Wednesday also has the classes doesn't it? Or is that Thursday? I can't remember. I got down to Cincy last year Thursday evening. Got my badges, looked around awkwardly and went back to my hotel. lol

WTF? I don't forsee a major crackdown on this. Maybe at first to make it known but really law enforcement has real issues to concern itself with. This seems like a "feel good law" based on the knee jerk reaction to the lead tainted China goods.

Still lets watch and see what happens post Feb 15 the day it takes affect.
