Excpet for the plot hole thing about the cube...
he just got his voice, he's not really used to talk. Its like when you get an operation and can't speak for a year. It happened to someone i know. He had a funny voice when he started to speak again.

oh, hey...I never thought about that. I guess that's a possibility, but I'm pretty sure every radio line was "tuned in", so to speak, and I don't think those were, plus Sam said "You speak now?"

of course they wernt from the radio.

"permission to speak sir."..."i wish to stay with the boy"

i dont think any radio station would be saying that.

But that's not entirely where 'Bee got his "lines" from. He used many other boradcast sources besides the radio. If I remember right, he used a couple of lines from Star Trek. And didn't Prime explain that the TF's learned Earth language through the web? As we all know, you can find just about anything on the 'web these days!

I just bought the 'Unleashed Bumblebee Statue', and on the side there is a Bio, and it says:

Bumblebee's vocal processors were shattered in battle with the decepticons and he finds it very difficult and painful to speak'

But that doesn't mean he cant. Maybe at the end he just wanted to say a few lines despite the discomfort/difficulty.

:D

Weapon: Gattling Gun
In the prequel he lost his voice in the battle with Megatron when the AllSpark was launched from cybertron, seems like a long time to not be able to repair/replace it. Its not like trying to recreate his spark, just repair/replace a unit to synthesize speech ... if Microsoft can do it (Windows text to speech), surely they can

The whole Allspark/BB/Frenzy thing is discussed at length with some decent ideas here.

As for teh voice, I figured Ratchet had been able to repair it enough for him to make sound after teh battle, but not fully restored, which is why it had more of a robotic tint to it than the others.
