Nope. Just reset him and restyle him how you want.

In a Galaxy Far Far Awry issue 1: Serial Fiction Sideshow now for sale.
Issue 2: Home Sweet Home Invasion also for sale.
Back issue 3: Technophobia coming soon. And you can help!

?? From the "Upgrade" page the reset link will revert the character to having no spent XP. This is what you've tried, correct?

Resetting does work, I just reset one of my own characters.
To re-set a character, you go to their profile page. Then there is a link that says "upgrade." Past the stats and below the tactics is a link that says "reset transformer." You have to confirm the reset as well. Resetting will remove armor (lost for good) and weapons (not lost), reset all stats and tactics to 0 (any exp is not lost), and the alt is removed.
Resetting won't remove the character (delete them), it will just just give a fresh start. Resetting also won't do anything if there are not any (1) stat/tactic upgrades, (2) armor installed, or (3) alt mode selected. You cannot reset a character that has nothing, and resetting won't reduce exp to 0.

The name of the bot has to be changed in the "edit" screen.

Most new internet users and new users to forums don't know that search buttons and FAQs exist. I bet you thought I'd hastily shoop together a clueless robot wearing a t-shirt that reads "Bitches don't know bout my Search Buttons and FAQs." Well you're wrong. Because I'm too lazy right now.

It's best to assume every link I post is NSFW, and every post I make is just me taking the piss.

Last I heard the search function only went back three months, and the FAQ is even further out of date.
So is it any wonder people ask questions?

I'm not a staff member so I can't help with the search function. And I'm not a veteran, or motivated enough, to write a new FAQ. So hint all you want I ain't doin' it.

I'm not boggled by people asking questions, I'm boggled that so many people want to delete their bots.

I specifically wrote a new FAQ/New player guide only a few months ago, that's almost bang up to date. So no, the wonder is why no one uses it.

Maybe it's not answering their questions?
Or perhaps people simply like to ask questions as their way of making some of their first few posts on the forums.

Or maybe most people are to lazy to look for the FAQ, or don't see it stickied, so they don't know it exists.

There's always that too.
I just don't see why pretty much every time someone asks a question we end up with this whole "why can't people read the FAQ?" crap. So they don't, so they ask questions. What's the problem exactly?

Common sense. Or a lack thereof. FAQs exist for a reason after all. And basically all that happens in threads like these is someone asks a question that's been covered and their either A) linked to a thread with the answer or B) to the FAQs. I'm thinking if you made the FAQ part of signing up for HMW or into the actual game section it would cut down on threads like this.

Actually I see the problem laying more in the hands of those who seem to get all uppity when threads like these pop up.
You're right though, the threads usually go the same way, question is answered, then people are either directed to another thread or the FAQ page (which btw, IS in the actual game section under the Help page), and then of course we have this debate again.
But I still don't understand why some people seem to get their noses so out of joint over threads where people ask questions.
Why is it such an issue? I ask this EVERY time this debate comes up and i've yet to see one credible answer. Is it so hard for people to, oh, I don't know, be welcoming to new members and help them out?

Re: Can I delete one of my characters?
Do you like getting spam email, Burn? Becuase, no offense to anyone who asks questions like this on the forums, it's pretty much the same thing. Sometimes the same question is asked in consequetive threads. I mean, when minicons and robot modes went, there were back-to-back (to back to back to back) threads all asking where they went. And half the time it's the same thing. Sometimes, sometimes, it's actually a question that's rarely asked and should be answered properly, but a lot of the time, the amount of time it takes to make a new thread would have found the answer in another one.

The original question was answered and now this thread has basically become a platform for hurting each others' feelings, so perhaps we should all just move on, yes?
