How I sure would like a Stunticon set in wave 3 of the combiners. So there's no true reason to speed up production or leaking out information.
Actually, I think I saw some stunticon botshots pics floating around, though, I suppose that doesn't technically count.
Yeah, Hasbro are countering Fansproject with non combining Botshots.

They really took the kiddie-gloves off on that one, didn't they?

Hasbro's still got it's mittens clipped to it's sleeves like a special ed kid in the springtime. They're content with their handful of terrible repaints and PCC's. It's not like they didn't know about FP's offering as long as we have and it's not like they couldn't have beaten them to the punch. As the 3P MP Soundwave fiasco proved, if they offer something that another company is making, they kill it. They didn't even try on this one.

From what we've seen of the beginnings, Hasbro is hitting a lot of figures that haven't had proper treatment, like Springer and Blitzwing. Could a Menasor be far behind? Would Hasbro consider any re-paints of previous figures to fill out the line?

Can't say for sure on Menasor. Given FOC Bruticus I'd say this FP one is probably still a better bet, but on the subject of repaints: I'll be amazed if there's no repaints at all in the line.

Let's be honest.
The G1 Combiners weren't exactly marvels of engineering.
Better looking than energon combiners, yes.
Better than FoC Bruticus, also yes.
Had PCC had triple changing limbs instead of those static pieces of junk, they would, very likely, have cleaned up.

Agamemnon wrote:FoC Bruticus is actually a marvel of engineering, in my opinion. The limbs are not only Scramble City style in their ability to switch between feet and hands, but the right and left limbs are able to be swapped, with the thumb ajdustable to the proper hand. Sure, there are aesthetic complaints about limbs being too long, Onslaught being too small, and the karate chop limb, but, engineering such limbs requires some sacrifices somewhere. Even TFC Herc and Uranus make compromises with the hands. FoC Bruticus (and the Wreckers repaint) keep all limb and combining accessories integrated into the vehicles. The only things to be lost are weapons, so I can be assured that my kid will never play with a handless Bruticus, or one that cannot stand for missing a foot.

I hate intergrated combiner parts. They relly sacrfice from the look of both the combiner and the individual bots. I say keep them separate. A lost head or foot is a lesson learned. Take better care of your toys. I still have every part to my original G1 Devastator, Bruticus, Abominus, and Piranacon from when I was a kid.
