Revan gets raped easily by planetbusting Kuja.

MUSCLES
And yet, muscles mean nothing in the face of the force, or lightsabers.
Sure you can swing the big heavy sword. But the sword will be flayed in two against a lightsaber.
Force + Lightsaber = Win.

I think with an endless droid army, with of course the interstellar flight, and the fact that they're jedi and most citizens carry awesome blasters. I'm goin' for the Star Wars.

As the invading forces, it would make the most since for them all to be place on a planet with limited defenses/resources, perhaps one broken light saber, two or more stellar vessels, and enough scraps for the council of Cids to work with. If the FF forces had a planet with limited resources as there territory, before imperial forces destroy said planet, they might be able to do something.
Also with existing material that can deflect a light saber, and since most FF cast obtain at least one magical weapon, I'm thinking a light saber doesn't flay all weapons. At least not magical ones or those treated with 'cortz'? I'll never remember the name of that red stuff, but if a non force user can fight a force user, I'm thinking the gap should be much closer with a magic user.
How hard is it to get/ make a light saber? I thought the crystal for the laser was the hardest part. Surely the Cids could figure out the tech and send the heros on a grand adventure to acquire needed parts, leveling up in the SW world while doing so.
How does force abilities match up to FF magic and espers? All the FF bosses are insane magic users, so could even one of them learn to use the force?
Moogles and Chocobos could possibly infiltrate a few neighboring planets breeding an army of chocobo knights, or just chocobos... but they have a mysticism similar to yoda about them. I'ld like to see Mog try to reason with the green muppet and his other moogles trying to fight, forcing the two would be friends into mortal enemies. The exchange ends with Mog being the last of his kind, like Yoda, and now force sensitive. Mog trains the more spiritual FF members...
I could go on but the FF forces would still fall short, in my mind, as they lack the tools to fuel a true campaign.

Taking this into mind couldnt the cids just use materia from ff7 to create light saber duplicates, not exactly light sabers but magical swords with magical properties aka. Thunder Materia sword imbued with thunder, or ultima materia sword which would be awesome.. OR! meteor materia sword would be devastating! or...or..or.. well you get my point, consider the possibilities though.

...A moogle? Are you kidding? You expect a moogle to train everyone? A special, English-speaking moogle, but a fluffy small creature nonetheless.

Not to mention, knowing how to use a lightsaber without hurting oneself, and knowing how to fight with a lightsaber are two entirely different things.
Each Jedi Knight and Master is a master of one or more lightsaber fighting styles. There are 7 styles all together.
And there is easily no way a Moogle could master all 7 enough to teach everyone else.
