I was just making a small reminder that these threads come on about every 3-6 months, an all call to females on the boards, basically asking for them to stand up and identify themselves when they really don't need to.

And of course, proper respect and decorum should always be followed when dealing with the fairer sex, and any member of the boards. As I was reading through this I caught more and more lines that were starting to objectify women, and I don't want them to feel that way here (unless they themselves are seeking it appropriately).

I'm not trying to be a champion for justice or anything when it is not needed, I just want the ladies to feel as comfortable as any poster should. Like you said, thankfully it appears everyone was being 'good' (minus the two or three comments...).

Just wanted to remind folks that this is not the 'Men's locker room'.

When I was picking up Escalation #5 last week, the lass behind the till asked me when the new movie was out. We then went on to have a 5 minute disscusion on who should be in the movie (She seemed to be a huge Soundwave fan). She was cute too.

I would say female tf fans are as commplace as male.

What I don't get is why people feel the need to delve deep into fiction like that.

If Starscream and Megs were intended to be lovers that way then it wouldn't be in a show targeted towards kids.

Its the same with Invader Zim.

Type Invader Zim on deviantart and you get a crap load of Zim/Dib sexual pictures.

That is just wrong.

People are examining this stuff way to closely.

I think the fact that they were happy for Screamer to be a girl when Megs wacks him round the head every other episode speaks volumes for the traslators morality...

My former fiancee encouraged me to buy Transformers. In fact for one birthday she bought me KO oversized Bruticus AND a collection of 33 G2 toys on ebay.

We're in differnt countries now but she said she'd like to see the film with me cos me being a fan would add to the experience.

She also used to enjoy Beast Wars.

Being an artist, she loved the design of the toys. G1 Megatron was the first I showed her and was her favourite along with G1 Prowl. Both also my faves.

I showed my collection to a couple from work and SHE was more interested in them than HIM. In fact she wanted to know why I hadn't mentioned them earlier since she could have bin over playing with them instead of being bored out of her mind some evenings.

In fact, the TF's have gotten a great reponse from the girls at work who loved my Cliffjumper keyring.

It's not about gender guys, it's about people who have taste.

When I was younger I used to play with my brother's Transformers and I had a Voltron toy. (the black robot of the set) I didn't really play with dolls or Barbies. So pretty much quite a few seem to dig the stuff traditionally "reserved" for boys, even when they were younger.

Oh, and BTW, I am extremely fond of Starscream too.

I think optimus prime and megatron have alot of sex appeal to women.

I know plenty of girls that think Tf's are cool. Hell, my girlfriend loved them! She's in love w/freakin' Optimus Prime! She loved them that much. Girls to enjoy TF's. Believe me.

When I was in the Army I had to do plenty of those..and half the time I had a drill sergeant standing over me. Fun times. The funnest exercise I had to do was called "The Dying Cockroach." It is where you lay on your back and flex your arms and legs in such a way that it resembles the twitch of a dying insect. At the end of a session your arms and legs would feel like they were made of lead. Ah yes, fun times.
