I heard that. Rock and punk rock can still be pop!
Seriously, four of those films I've heard of, three I've seen and none of them did I like. Of course, a film is not necessarily the measure of a good OST or song. I can't remember anything they did for any of those films.

I have no idea where your hand has been!
Anyway, pointless Goo Goo Dolls information.
In addition to "Iris" from the "City of Angels" soundtrack, they've also contributed done other soundtracks.
"Lazy Eye" from Batman and Robin
"Wait for the Blackout" from Tommy Boy
"Fallin' Down" from Son in Law
"Ain't that unusual" from Angus
"Don't change" from Ace Ventura:When nature calls
"I'm Awake Now", "You Know What I Mean", "Two Days In February", all from Freddy's Dead:The Final Nightmare
Plus they've had a few of their songs featured on tv shows. See their IMDB listing for which ones
Oh and Wiki also classes them as "Rock", "Alternative Rock" and when they first started out, "Punk rock".
There. Everything you needed to know about Goo Goo Dolls and their work on soundtracks.
They also did a song for Disney's Treasure Planet and "Black Balloon" from Meet Joe Black.

Wow, these chaps are like the kings of the soundtrack. If I ever make a movie, I know who I'm going to ask to record a song.
Enya FTW.
Joking.

Can we have the Pussycat Dolls instead? and maybe CGI in Optimus and the gang as backing dancers?
Or maybe Prime could sing some Tom Jones 'just help yourself to my lips'!

Concession it is. I say we shake on it.
Wait... did you mean blow me down? Because, if not, I may have been using "blow me" in the wrong context for years.

I think you should produce my movie, you seem to know what will work.

Have any of you ever heard the song they did for Batman & Robin? It's called "Lazy Eye" & it rocks. They also did one for a nightmare on elm street movie called "I'm awake now".Give the Dolls a break it isn't POP .They are very unviversal & if all you have heard is Iris then you are missing out! They are more Rock /Alternative

Makes me think of Lolita-aged anime KISS Players in tiny bikini suits playing bass guitars and drums for the Transformers, BTW!
How can we be sure you weren't thinking of that already?

I can't tell if that's sarcastic or not but I'll take it!
