GRRR!! Stop leaving babies in hot cars!!!

Postby Moonbase2 » Wed Sep 05, 2007 11:01 pm

It seems like every other day I read a story about this! What kind of idiot do you have to be to leave a baby in a car when it's hot outside? It makes me absolutely sick. I don't understand how stupid you have to possibly be to do something like this. I have two little boys and I would never do this. I'm a 23 year old and I see folks older than I am making much dumber mistakes. Maybe a parenting class should be MANDATORY before a baby EVER leaves a hospital.

Sorry, but having a baby myself I just don't understand.

As a father of 2 kids I agree.. I really do.
Some people do not deserve the kids that they have because they are completely clueless..

What is really sad is that my best friend has had to watch people's children on two or three separate occasions for CPS while the parents got their **** together. Her neighbor's baby was being watched by a four-year-old the other day, because their uncle was passed out from drugs. One time a friend's child was wondering around a mile away from home because she was cheating on her husband and wasn't watching him.

I went to a friend's house that had a two-month old baby, and I asked how her room looked. To my utter surprise, she takes me to a broom closet! The baby was sleeping in a closet!!!! The baby was also very underweight and never bathed. Needless to say, a call to CPS was made. Not by me, but by my friend, the one that always has to watch all these children.

So in the army, parenting classes should be MANDATORY!!!!!

Man..
My wife's cousin has a 12 year old daughter.
She has never attended school
eats unhealthy (she is severely overweight)
Bathes once every week

It is a shame how that poor baby has been treated. We filed a complaint about her with child services but they did nothing.

ANYWAYS

I have this feeling they think that if they will be in a place for a few seconds and don't want to possibly wake the kids if there asleep

Or there are some who think that it won't kill them

Either way if they do this they shouldn't have kids

One woman went in shopping for meat. She left an 11 month old child in the car for over an hour, because there were "so many sales". Thankfully, someone found the baby before she died! I've heard a lot of stories where they forget to take them to daycare, or they think the other parent did.....HELLO!!! THERE'S A BABY IN THE CAR WITH YOU!!!!

Oh, and Cyber Bishop, keep on it!

Yeah, I'm 23 with two kids. My older boy turns 3 tomorrow. Who knows what I was thinking, getting pregnant at 19. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Oh well, I've grown up fast!

Having kids early is really hard in some ways because you're just so naive about so much. I didn't even get a phone or cable or even a computer for a really long time. It's like I worked my way out of the stone age. I also didn't know how to cook or take care of a baby. And now I do. Had I waited to have kids, I wouldn't know how to run a household and I wouldn't have my baby store. So things work out how they should, usually.

Oh, and it's ok you called me a dude. Most people assume everyone on here is male....which makes sense.

When I lived in Florida, I heard about people 'forgetting' their children in cars. Having a daughter myself, I can't figure out how you could do that.

A few months ago I riding with a lady, her two kids, and my daughter. She stopped at a grocery store and told me that I could leave my daughter in the car. I told her that I wasn't going to leave her in the by herself. She looked at me and told me that her two kids would be with her.

I than had to tell her that I wasn't going to leave my daughter in a car period. Some people.......

I'd come up with a witty answer for that, but it's because of my characterin the Heavy Metal War game.
