Sorry if this has been talked about elsewhere. I did a search but found nothing that relates to my question.

Ok so HA Roadbusters (Hasbro ver) has two different variations of him that have shown up at retail.
The first one has no black shadow on the red 88 and clear plastic used on his flame. The second (revision) has the black shadow, but the flame is now just solid plastic.

I'll refer the the two different versions as 1st ed & 2nd ed to differentiate between them.

Here's some pics of the boxes. The left one is the 1st ed, and on the right is the 2nd.
The 1st has 'Distributed in Australia', while the 2nd seems to be a South American version.







So why the differences in paint apps and plastics? Has this ever happened with any other Hasbro releases? Did they change it after TTak released their version of it?

BTW I only ended up with two as I got the second one for £15 and thought it would be cool to have one as a bot and one as his alt mode in my display.

I'm afraid this has been covered before. And yes, such variations between releases are common, as Hasbro likes to insert so-called "running changes", usually for improvements or fixes to the mold.
