On the IMDB trivia page, it says that the transformations for the movie were devised through mathmatical equations.

Also, I heard an explanation for mass shifting somewhere: Apparantly, when transforming, unwanted mass can is stored in another dimension. This also goes for Prime's trailer too.

Ok, it's a lame explanation I know.

Yeh, I guess they made that up just after they realised it was impossible.. good explanation, lame, but for me this is acceptable :)

Got a point there, it's cool and it's a series, we can proceed with any other movie or series with this.
But the rule of fantasy, is that it may be impossible..
Same for sci-fi.. and transformers..
