I'd heard/read rumors that Nicholson was disaapointed he wasn't asked to reprise the role, but never heard about him warning Ledger. That is creepy.

When asked by the London crowds for his reaction to Ledger's untimely demise, a defeated Nicholson simply replied, "I told him so." Batman Begins prequel The Dark Knight is due to be released in July (08).

I don't think it was suicide, his family just came out yesterday and said that his death was accidental. But either way, Heath Ledger was an amazing actor, he will be missed.

I wonder if acting as the Joker drove Ledger over the edge......

Didn't the US Federal Court system basically tell these asses to "cease and desist?"

But like Burn stated, it's probably moot, Ledger will probably flown back to Australia for his funeral (unless he has a will that states otherwise). Phelps isn't likely to fork over the moola it takes to fly him and his little cult from the Mid-West to the Outback.

I'm just hoping he doesn't have ties to Fred Nile and his group. Though as much as I don't like Fred I really can't imagine he'd sink to such a level for the sake of getting his message across.

But we'll wait and see.

His funeral will be in New York from early reports. His family is flying in.

It's just a memorial service (and suppose to be in LA). Plans are still to fly his body back to Perth for a private funeral.

Greg Carey (Queensland wide radio talk show host) just put a call in from Australia all the way to Shirley Phelps.

What an absoloutely disgustingly vile woman. I cannot for an instant believe the crap she was sprouting about God. I cannot believe that God could be such a hateful vengeful being.

I haven't followed this group much so this was my first real experience of listening to their crap and that's what it is. Pure and utter crap. It's religious extremists like them that give religions across the world a bad name.

Why did he do that?? Anybody in the US could have told him that was going to happen as well as some pretty good guesses about exactly what she would have said. Putting her on the air anywhere isn't going to do anyone any good.

Oh it did good. It made people realise that extremists are idiots.

They just had a local priest call in and even he said everything she sprouted was disgusting, revolting, wrong, and NOTHING like what God would want.

True, she doesn't deserve the air time, however Heath Ledger is an Australian and we tend to be protective of our fellow Australian's and people wanted the full story behind this group so they got it and it did that group absoloutely no favours at all.

Never doubt the convictions of crazy people. If it happened that way, she'd most likely fly over there out of spite.

The sad thing is, that happening doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Leave to the extreme far right to take something like this and twist it around for their own personal ends. (It's sadly becoming their method of choice.) It would have been more surprising for something along these lines to NOT happen.

Nor do I, but I do think He has a particular sense of humor; which I'm sure extremists like the Phelps and Nile will discover when they pass on.

Part of the problem is that the media gives them the attention they don't deserve. And then we watch and talk about it, either in the bar or online. So whose really to blame?
