Illinois Transformers Sightings
Re: Illinois Transformers Sightings
In Springfield at super Walmart: FoC Grimlock and Blaster. Also found a FoC Soundwave and Soundblaster at a Kmart (and they were listed at $18.99; cheaper than the $22.99 at both Target and Walmart).

Just wanted to poke my head in and see if anyone has spotted BH Shockwave yet. I'll let you all know if I spot him.

I just picked one up at the Walmart near the Aurora Fox Valley Mall. There was one left.

So they are in state at least, good to know, thanks! It's the only mold left of the current lines that I need, and stopping by 3 stores a day in the vain hopes of one item was getting tiresome!

I went to Walmart in Bolingbrook yesterday after work; I chose that one over the Aurora one. No Shockwave, of course. Curse you Bolingbrook!

Hey guys ... just wanted to let you know that I found the new Rescue Bots Energize Blades and Boulder at the Rosemont Target. They were the only ones there. Happy hunting!

Finally found BH Shockwave at TRU on Golf in Schaumburg. Was the last one there, but confirms its made it this far into the state. Fully expect it to be hitting everywhere else this week or so. Happy Hunting!

He was $22.99. I suppose you could have him price matched from Target for $19.99, but after a week of looking I honestly didnt expect to find him and was unprepared.

$22.99 is not bad for a Voyager at TRU. I'll swing by this afternoon and see. Has he been sighted at Target yet? Not on their site either.

No other sightings for me. I check two Targets, a Meijer, and two TRUs. The Schaumburg TRU was the only one so far.
Also, still have not see any Autobot discs- anyone have any luck there?

I haven't seen them anywhere either. You can get them from HasbroToyShop.com if you are impatient like me.

Do you have some sort of tutorial for that? My PRID Rumble is pretty steady, but wouldnt mind more stability for better poses.

Hey, quick favor BTW: If any of you kind gents happen to see the new TMNT stuff or the new wave of NECA Predators, can you give me a heads up? Be glad to keep an eye out for requests if you folks have any.

I'll keep an eye out for you. Which TMNT figures are you looking for?

While I was working on the galleries for Rumble and Frenzy, it occurred to me that there was a simple foot swap mod that anyone can easily do. The mod involves simply swapping the left foot with the right foot. It makes both figures have another difference from Hasbro's TFP Rumble and gets rid of that nasty looking pointed feet that just doesn't go well with a G1 Rumble and Frenzy homage whereas the squared off look appears almost like this was a planned part swap at some point. The figures transform just fine after the swap.

Target in Villa Park had a couple each of the Autobot data discs tonight. No BH Shockwave though.

Hey Seibertron, I just wanted to express my joy at the Rumble foot swap you came up with. I read about it on here and gave it a try a few days back, and it really does make the figure look a little better. the pointy toe wasn't really doing it for ol' Rumble.

I'm glad you liked it. I'm surprised no one else came up with that first. It's odd that they went with the pointy feet on the Japanese releases. It certainly helps set the Arms Micron figures apart from the TFP version.

FWIW, Target.com has FoC Blaster for 22.99, but with a $3 promo code (SAVE3TRANS). Use your Target Red Card for an extra 5% off and free shipping. My Blaster order came to $22.18 shipped.
FoC Soundwave and Soundblaster also have this promo code but are currently unavailable online.

Thanks for the tip, Hip-Hoptimus Rime. I passed the info along to the news staff. Enjoy Blaster. I love that mold!

Any new sightings anyone?
I heard there's a new toy store that is either opened or opening near Harlem and Addison. Has anyone been there yet?
Has anyone been to the new Quake in Schaumburg yet?

I think the store you're talking about is the new Toynk retail store. Haven't been there yet but it's in Addison.
I've been to the new Quake in Schaumburg. It doesn't have much Transformers but I've been pleasantly surprised a couple times there. One time I found a G1 Hound that was a little beat up but I got it for only 10 bucks.
