How so? Are you speaking from a health or a religous stand point?

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Both, I'd assume, considering most are done against the person's will.

Yep. It's abusive and painful to helpless newborn babies. You might be tempted to say "aww boo friggin' hoo", but I am actually quite serious.
Religious practices that do it are inhumane. Yes, I'm thinking of a certain 3,000 year old people who I have no tangible grudges with. They should not do it. Period.
Not to mention that an uncircumsized erection is actually bigger around than a cut erection. Three guesses to what that means and the first two don't count.
Now, I understand the health benefits of being cut, and the awkwardness that can ensue in the locker room when your johnson looks different, but I say let a guy make the decision himself to have it done if he really wants to. I'm betting he doesn't.
Or at least knock the baby out first. I can't imagine it would be that hard to do.
If I ever have a son, he will not be cut.
Watch the Circumsicion episode of Penn & Teller Bullshit. I double dare you watch the whole thing through without turning away. If you can do that, and still say the practice is right, you must be made of steel. If you turn away in shock, disgust, or outright horror, and still say the practice is right, there is something wrong with you.
And yes, I'm cut, hence my lifelong phobia of having something delicate like skin stuck between a cold metal sheet and a pizza cutter.

For newborns, it's difficult to clean(trust me on this), and we'd rather not deal with the risk. I don't like the idea of it myself, but when it comes to my son's health, I would do anything to keep him from getting sick.
As far as the religous aspect, I could care less, as I don't practice any one religon.
I do understand you point of view, and I do cringe when I think about it. But after hearing of the health risks(infections and such), and being told that they will be sedating my son, I'm a little more at ease with it.

Da. It's painful to watch a baby get shots (or worse sometimes, surgery), but the health benefits justify it.
