I've recently gotten into Kamen Rider by way of Kamen Rider W/Double and Kamen Rider Kabuto. I've also watched Kamen Rider THE FIRST. So I'm more familiar at this time with the Heisei era KR shows but I'd like to get into the Showa era shows too, especially Black and Black RX.

So do we have any Kamen Rider fans in the community? What are your recommendations? Do you prefer Showa or Heisei era shows?

I'm also a new collector of S.H. Figuarts figures thanks to Kamen Rider. I'm also thinking about getting into S.I.C. figures, though I understand it isn't until Volume 40(Agito and Machine Tornader) that these transcended being simply well sculpted statues with some articulation and became proper action figures with great sculpts.

My favourite KR series has to be Kabuto. Cause y'know, he's like the fastest Kamen Rider. Makes sense right? 8-}

The only show I've seen was Dragon Knight on the CW and Cwkids.com or whatever it is. I liked the show, got kinda slow when it was a recap/clip episode but otherwise it was great. I wanted to get those toys but I never saw them in the stores and now the shipping will kill me if I get them online.

I haven't unboxed my S.I.C. Kiwami Tamashii Wild Chalice figure yet...it looks so awesome still in its plastic prison. I love how Bandai packages their Kiwami Tamashii figures, by the way. They also have great packaging design for their S.H. Figuarts figures too.

If Wild Chalice is just as good as my Kiwami Tamashii Kamen Rider Hibiki, I'll be as pleased as punch.

Japanese packaging is just a present in itself really haha. Have you started on any of Kamen Rider W toys? I'm scared I'm going to get trapped into getting 12 different repaints...

I have a couple of Kamen Rider W figures from the S.H. Figuarts line. So far I have Cyclone/Joker and Heat/Metal. I plan to pick up Luna/Trigger someday. Fang/Joker is on its way to me. Accel is pre-ordered.

Kamen Rider is made for the toy business, especially the Heisei/modern era of Kamen Rider shows, since pretty much every main character has multiple forms, which equals multiple re-paints/retools of figure molds. Kamen Rider W is a perfect example with all the Memory combinations, which are mostly just colour swaps with a few different items(Luna's Trigger Magnum and Metal's Metal Shaft).

I do like the Kamen Rider W character but I definitely have no desire to pick up all possible combinations. I'm just going for the main combos of Cyclone/Joker, Luna/Trigger, and Heat/Metal as well as Fang/Joker as it's a great retool of the mold, which is pretty spiffy in my opinion.

At this time, I'm trying to get all available KR Agito SHF figures(I missed out on Gills but I did pre-order Exceed Gills) and just pick my favourites from the rest of the currently available KR figures.

Here comes the Den-O! Masked Rider(American Black RX) as actually my first intro to KR franchise Then it fell off. Den-O got me back into it I'm currently writting DCD sytle story on FF.net(What free Advertizing.)

I never watched full episodes, really, only some clips, but I am following the overall story lines of the newer series (starting with, you guessed it, Den-O). I'm even in the progress of making Kamen Rider fan characters (or wanna-bes, haven't decided on what to do with them) based on an original premise. Call me a fan, and disgusting since I actually liked Saban's Masked Rider...

I like the concept of Kamen Rider Decade... Always a treat to see so many Riders at once...

So far i have watched Kamen rider W, Decade, Kiva, Kabuto.....
And i still want more....

As for toys, dont want to poison myself with the figures, as TF is enough to kill my wallet.... So i decided to keep Rider Mask instead...

I wish they'd make a new American adaptation of a Kamen Rider series. It would our 3rd one in America, but I hope it's way better than Dragon Knight and much much more successful. The Dragon Knight show was too slow and it felt more like an internet web series than a Kids' TV show. And the action figures were too small. Bring Kamen Rider Double to America!!

Never heard of 000 (triple zero). The correct title is OOO (three O's, pronounced "Ouz").

I've seen bits and pieces, but it has Double's epicness and combo mechanism with a dash of Den-O's humor. I mean, the series has little helper bots that transform into soda cans and the motorcycle is a vending machine! What's more, the 2nd Rider of the series is modeled after a small toy dispenser, complete with popping sounds when a ball is opened. Kinda silly actually.

The series has already past its "Super Form" debut (think Den-O's Wing Form or Double FangJoker) with the TaJaDol Combo, but the Ultimate Form has yet to be revealed. There are still two more combos in the pipeline, which I'm eagerly awaiting.

OMG, the show was too slow for me. They really didn't need 2 recap episodes, considering they only had one short season. That made me mad. Dragon Knight felt like it could be a web series. For a TV show, it really didn't have the action-packed/awesome elements that make a kid all hyped up for the show. It's too, too, SLOW! Power Rangers RPM was a serious season, but was not slow at all. The Dragon Knight people should've at least learned from RPM lol. They constantly kept telling themselves off-camera "okay, remember guys, don't act like they do in Power Rangers!" That's fine, but the show needs to pick up pace. Hopefully they don't make the same mistake if they ever make another American adaptation of Kamen Rider. And the action figures were only available at Toys'R'Us in my state. Come on! They need to put them in Walmart stores at least! :-(
