Look like I hate FOC Jazz so much that I just ordered the Reprolabels for it!

I think I have another one that I adore and I think "everyone" hate.

G1 Pretender Bumblebee. The shell is very neat looking but it's the inner bot that truly shine. A Beetle pimped for off-road travel! Plus the Bee itself is very nice. IMO the best Bumblebee of G1. Yes, way better than the original minibot.

Except it has Cliffjumper's head.

I didn't know that was a hated mold. I know people aren't fond of Pretenders in general, but not that BB himself was particularly hated.

Ok, I've been ghosting this thread for a bit now, trying to wrack my brain for anything in my collection that fits.
Here goes
As a kid, I had Cybertron Thunderblast. And loved that she was a boat. That's it At the time, I remember the shell formation being occasionally a bit fiddly and getting her to stand with that big ass rocket launcher was a chore. But again, having grown up in the north here, was around boats a lot so it was fun having a transformer with an aquatic vehicle mode

FOC Sideswipe. I did love that toy up until the Siege version came out, so that is where he might be disqualified. The reason I loved that crappy mold is simple, he's Sideswipe. G1 Sideswipe was my first TF that wasn't a mini-bot and I saved up and bought him myself, so he will always have a place in my heart.

For years FOC sideswipe was the only option, so I loved him by default, even with those crappy shoulders and ridiculously oversized gun he couldn't hold up.

Both of these are good. I adore FOC Jazz and sideswipe, for all the hate they do get and all the hate that line gets

Yeah I've never seen or heard it either. Everyone knows the limitations of Pretenders and in all honesty, Bumblebee is actually one of the good ones.

I'm gonna throw my hat in the FOC Jazz ring. He was my 2nd ever Transformer (and the 1st one that I bought myself). A lot of fun times had with him.

Another one I agree with. I remember being so happy when he came out because I didn't want to pay aftermarket prices for the Takara one that didn't look good. It certainly helped that he didn't have all of that weird beastish detail like all of the others save Shockwave.

Well I can add not one but FIVE figures to the list as of today: The TT redecoed POTP Dinobots. I genuinely love these things. Sure they're not perfect, but the combined mode is surprisingly solid and they do have a lot of charm. Also the paintjobs are lovely.

Of that list I think the only toy I like is Classics Grimlock. He's a really fun toy and unmistakingly Grimlock. His only crime? Not being G1 enough. And being way too small, but that's something you can levy against a LOT of older Classics figures. You can have the entire main Decepticon cast at a too-small scale. Which I do.

Of the popular toys that are disliked on that list, I really dislike the Universe Prowl mould. Most versions of the mold has tacky, dirty paint, the legs have a weird range of motion that you have to find a sweet spot to get standing well, and those doors just pop off all the time. Was it really well liked?

But I do think saying "it's too G1, and G1 had a bad design" is about as unfair as saying "it's bad because it isn't G1". I feel like the toy itself has to have a fatal flaw that's inherent to it's design.

I don't like the TR Blaster either, but not because it's too G1, but because I think the Boom Box mode is oddly proportioned, my dislike for the "tapes" he's supposed to use, and that he's just too tall for my liking (the G1 Blaster toy is also too tall IMO).
