Well, because of school, I'm only there on Wed and Sat (all day both days) Best times to stop by are Weds after 6 (I"m there till 8pm), and Sats after 3:30 (there till 6). It's usually pretty busy until then with gaming and new comics. Roddycon13 is usually there both days unless he's out of town.

That is so funny that your noob, I had no idea I had allready met any of you guys... well, except for Roddycon13, who if he wasn't being screwed by his job, would be at my house so much I think he should pay rent... or least get me a Japanese boxed Fort-Max with a Sword :grin:

Of course, I still own him money :sad:

Well, back to study time, today is a 5 exam day , 3 down and 2 ta go :shock:

wednesday huh? i think i can probably do that. are the nerds out in full force then? like will they challenge me to games? i have A harley quinn heroclix. that's about it. oh and a night stalker.

Actually, the clicking only goes on at stadium on saturday. wednesday is just new comic day, so you'll be pretty safe. I'll be there tomorrow night and saturday afternoon.

It's funny, b/c the girl that works there, whom I talk to alot, said that they sat there all weekend! "Everybody hates them.", she told me. I think this series is heads above the first Hasbro wave, and I am especially suprised by Jean Grey...she turned out to be pretty nice.

Yeah, and the bastards at the Extravacon were already asking $30 for a sealed one. Sounds trite, but PUH-LEEZ. The line has just been released, and they already want $30 for a non-variant! I'll find him eventually, just like Iron Man from the first wave...who was impossible to find for that first month, then he was everywhere.

Seems like anything Avengers-related flies off of shelves anymore. They should have their own line.

Some of these toy companies are just stupid to shortpack figures. The Star Wars 30th Anniversary Concept figures is a perfect example. Very, very rarely do you see them on the shelves because the employees at the various stores take and sell them because they are rare.

Personally I have seen 1 Concept Stormtrooper and I go to like 30 stores a week. I can understand rare exclusive stuff like a botcon box set but for toy lines that are in just about every store it's stupid to have these extremely rare figures.

I don't understand it and that makes me a very angry and sad JTK.

EDIT! I'm not as angry and sad as I was since my girl just sent me a text saying she bought me a Universe Arcee!

I want to start a toy shop like BBTS here in mid Michigan. I could do all kinds of fun things like start a fire in the parking lot with all the 30th R2's and Obi-wan's!

the guys over at cornerstore comics were talking about the hasbro packouts of DCSH and how now they will ONLY sell cases of those guys since they were stuck with hundreds of supermans. they ended up donating a bunch to toys for tots cos they couldn't get rid of them.

That's not such a bad idea. If I could go into WalMart and buy a case that had one of each figure in the wave, I would in a second.

I know BBTS sells cases of some things but there are usually multiples of several figures. I really only want one of each and sometimes it could be really expensive like Alt. Rumble/Ravage. An entire case is like 8x$20

well in the case of dcsh it was that they had superman in EVERY single case distro. they had 1-2 new characters and lots of rehashes so it was painful when breaking up cases (they are an online store btw).

even if they got to markup the rare figure, they were stuck with lots of supes and bizarros.

Collecting DCH is worse than collecting Tiy Biz MLs was. the last case ratio, literally, was:

Superman x3
Superman(variant) x3
Steel x1
Parasite x1

I don't know what drives the companies to commit such stupidity. It's like they are aiming for their own feet.

I was lucky enough to find two Monguls(one on hold for noob), but I'm positive it would have only been one, because I found the other when I went out-of-state to see my parents.

I don't really mind some competition in collecting, but having to compete with employees gets really annoying. While I still hunt, I get most of my stuff from BBTS or elsewhere anymore, because it is really becoming a hassle. espcially when the stores still have those long, long periods when they just don't stock anything.

TFM used to throw out the idea that I should take a buyout at my company and start a BBTS-like place, but brick'n'mortar style. The focus would be on collectors, not kids. I honestly think that you could have a primarily 18yrs+ place where you catered to collectors rather than the general public. And actually make some money too.

Then I could sell it to tigertracks when he retires, so he could live his dream. But only on the condition that I get to hang out there as much as I want, between trips to the Gulf, Japan, and Europe. :grin:

I would shop at a place like that, even if items were a couple dollars higher than MSRP (as long as boxes/cards were mint) - I do it now with BBTS.

I like going out and looking for stuff, it's a lot of fun when you find something but going for weeks with nothing new gets frustrating.

I want to give them my money, they just don't want to do what it takes to earn it. Sad.

Yeah, Wed is just new comic day, but it's busy until at least 6, then it slows down some. If I"m busy, Todd will be there.

The whole owning a store thing is what I'm going to school for. Maybe I"ll get lucky and I can buy Stadium and turn it into a real money maker with lots more toys and move it to a better location! I really think were underacheiving now because the owner and manager won't spend the money to make us better :cry:

I pre-ordered a DC Super Heroes case 6 assortment "G" from BBTS. It's backordered so I hope they get some more in.

When I got back from lunch my Revoltech Megatron was here. He's sweet. He has two different heads.. a normal one and then an evil grin head. Not quite as evil as MP Skywarp :grin:

Definitely glad I got this one.

Wow, we should change this thread to "Michigan Future Hobby Store Owners." I also dream of owning a Comic / Toy store. When I'm bored I sometimes check around to see if any stores are for sale across the country.

I finally received MP Megatron. I'm very excited, but extremely worried about Transforming him.

yeah, i twisted his arm for the trooper. i'll look out for one for you too TT. i'm sure with our network, we should be able to find another one for you.

i am probably going to stop by stadium rc13. i'm busy trying to finish up some papers and reports and stuff but i think i'll be good for a little down time. will the guy kick us out if i am not buying any comics? :grin:

good prices on alot of stuff at CSC. more than 1/2 off for just about everything. too bad all the good stuff got snapped up the wee hours of the morning. they also have a decent sota sale too.

oooh, I've got the perfect way of displaying Revoltech Megatron. I put the evil grin face on him and also a hand that is open. When I get home I'm going to take the matrix that came with either Revoltech Magnus or Prime and have Megatron hold it. It'll be cool. :grin:
