Ha ha, ain't it the truth! The display looked cool when we walked in, but upon further inspection, it was missing quite a few things.

One guy who had been there before anyone, at least 30 minutes early--before the store opened, walked out basically saying the same thing, and buying nothing. He was peeved to say the least, that there were no deluxes out besides protoforms.

Andrew and I told him he should go to Target, or Walmart because they had them, but he just kind of stormed out frustrated. His face was a bit like this... :-x

:P

Pistons seem ready to give the Cavaliers a shot at the finals. Trade 'em all and bring in Kobe so we can at least see a player who can score 80 in a game!!!

Went to Target today, had to see the movie stockpile. It was pretty neat, but I didn't pick anything up. I'm still undecided on buying any of the movie figs. The real gear TFs seem like a great idea, but they just weren't as interesting as I had thought they were going to be while I was at the store. Might check out TRU tomorrow.

Cavs win the series. They wanted it more than the Pistons. Maybe now Detroit can learn to stop whining about ref calls all the time and just man up.

Novi TRU sounds similar to the others...No deluxes, missing a few pieces. They did have 3 of the Desert 2 packs. The display was very exciting.

Head sucks, and I found out his hip joints are not too tight, but otherwise, I like the overall look and feel of him.

I guess I have to take that back overall, I like Spyshot and Booster x10 the best, so far. Simple Tfs, good ideas, decent homages to what came before, and nifty real looking almost life size alt modes.

Booster X10 Rocks!!!! I love this figure!! Your right, I hope they make a Buzzsaw colored version.

I'll have to check out Spyshot, the only other one of those I grabbed was Longview, who is really cool as well.

Ratchet's good huh? I didn't really take a real close look at him today, but from the little pictures on the boxes, his head kind of looks like Davy Jones' from the Jonny Depp Pirate movies.... or Wilford Brimley after an over-night soak :P

Okemos TRU didn't have any deluxes either. The only voyagers they had were Ironhide and Starscream. They did have 10+ Decepticon Desert Attack sets though.

They also had the Real Gears, Leader Optimus Primes and such. I was expecting to see more stuff out than what they had that's for sure.

I was very down in the dumps leading up to the last few days. I had seen most of the toys out of package all ready between RC13 and PQP, and still didn't think I wanted any. But now that I picked up a few, I am very glad I did.

The top picks to start with would be Booster X10 and Wreckage. After that, Barricade, if for no other reason than he's a Mustang, the best car ever

Prime is cool, but I actually prefer his vehilce mode. Make sure you take a long hard look at his robot mode before you drop $40+ on it.

Here's hoping you find one you really like ;)^

Yup. I have to say I am much, much happier with this toy line than I originally thought I would be. The designs are still not my favorite for the most part but overall it's a pretty solid line I think.

Hey JT, sorry I haven' t gotten back to you on the Devastator  Between school, work, and everything else, I still haven't even given PQP a price for the last batch of G-1's I gave him last week.

The body's are out, I just need to confirm all weapons are present. As long as my wife doesn't give me to many projects tomorrow, I should be able to let you know by tomorrow evening.

You know, with RC13 out of the country, you'd think I would have more free time than I'd know what to do with... sorry man, when your a few thousand miles away, your an easy target

Oh, and I checked your mail Tuesday and Friday, your pin# was not there yet. Do you still want me to check early next week or do you think you'll be good?

well, it's tough to defend myself when I'm already asleep and it's only 8 pm for you guys  here's hoping that there is a bunch of toys put out later this week for when I get back home.

tfpredaking.. maybe check my mail one more time.. but I've a pin for my other credit card, plus the advance in my checking account, so I should be okay on the money front... if I can keep from buying the remote controlled Dalek... probably not though

well, it's 9:20 am here. still raining :( and somewhere is this little kid that likes to scream about every 15 minutes.. so there goes another chance of sleeping in :-x ah well...

It's a bummer, I hate watching someone else celebrating, knowing full well, we have more talent, and are a better team...

I think this is good for them. With the group they have, I don't think they will ever stop whining at the officials. They are a bit too arrogant, nice guys, but arrogant about their skills as a team.

AS for Ratchet, I consider all the heads to suck, pretty much. I'm starting to look at the aesthetic of the whole bot more...

What I really like especially with the larger figures, is the innovation in transformations. They are difficult, but intuitive, but not similar to others as we have seen them before, for the most part...I'm not a fan of automorph, but it's an interesting idea.

Okemos TRU had a few deluxes today. I picked up Barricade, Bumblebee and Brawl. Then went to Walmart and picked up Bonecrusher. Went into Okemos Target and saw the TF's were all on sale, so I took back the ones I bought at TRU and Walmart and bought 'em all plus Jazz & Wreckage at the Okemos Target.

There were going to be a Voyager Prime and Megatron right? I haven't seem them yet...

This isn't Transformers related, but it IS Michigan related.

There is a little-known event in Manistee County, called Arcadia Daze. The Town of Arcadia, much like the Eils de Muerta in PotC, can only be found by people who have been there. The town is essentially dead except for about two weeks at the end of July, the last three days of which is Arcadia Daze. It includes a Dance Party, an Arts and Crafts Show, a effin' sweet auto show, two pancake breakfasts and, at the end, a giant-ass parade.

I've gone there every year of my life, along with most of my dad's family. We even had my Grandma's Memorial Service at the event. A TON of people go to the campgrounds there, including a bunch of our friends and family.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to go this year, because my dad has a job where he could get a call at any time. :-(

Sorry to hear that big disappointment.

It does sound like a fun time, and family traditions are really missed when they are no longer upheld.

On a happier note the Pistons lost...or I guess the Tigers won two in a row is a good thing.

How about this...it's not snowing anymore... :P

hey, even though the pistons lost.. be happy there is a sport on tv other than soccer.. over here its all footie on the tv with the occasional rugby match.

oh wait, I did see some WWE a little bit ago..
you know.. when you only have twelve channels and two of them show the same damn "buy sky tv" infomericial 24/7 and 3 others show soccer constantly.. it'd be nice not to have to lose another channel to WWE. give me some good TV.. one episode of smallville isn't enough!!! okay, rant about UK tv done.

luckily I brought some dvds.. but I'm working through them too fast. hmmm, I need some TF related content in here now..
oh yeah.. I called noob. he and PQP were at Xtrava-con. Noob said he'd get me a robo vision prime  thanks man!!

Yay, my internet seems to be working again...I think.

I had a good day Sat with TT hunting for movie toys. Spent way too much money, but got all of the stuff that I wanted thus far.

At WM I picked up all of the Voyagers except Ratchet, and two more Wreckage. At the Canton Target, I grabbed seconds of Ironhide and RGs Booster and Spy Shot, a Leader Megatron, a Softimus Prime, and a second Robot Heroes Prime/Ravage...I can't get enough of either. At the Westland Target I scored two Robo-Vision Primes, an FAB Prime, an F4 Silver Surfer and Invisible Woman.

At the Westland TRU, I grabbed a second Blackout(the only one there teehee), and Legends Prime, Bumblebee, and Barricade, and Optimash Prime, I also socred another DCH Steel there.

It was a great day, but like TT said, it was suprising how poorly the toy release was handled by the retailers here. The consistency of stock from store to store left ALOT to be desired. Shame especially on WM, Kmart, and Meijer, for all but ignoring the fandom, and the Westland TRU's display was a massive disappointment.

The two Targets that we went to were much better overall; at the Canton Target they had very little out, but a helpful employee retrieved two whole push carts of stuff for us to browse, so they get a silver star. Westland Target had a great selection of stock, including two whole endcaps, but no Voyagers, and few Deluxes, so they also get a silver star. The rest of them flunk miserably.(Wait...at Kmart I found a Sig 6 Lt Stone, so they get a D- out of pity.)

Gah too much to get caught up with. The con today was slow and I didn't sell much at all. I did finally get ML Icons Masked Cap, both sealed and loose. I also picked up the Sinister 6 Box Set, as well as a second Xmen Box set, and the Urban Legends set, too. Got a Brown/Bearded Sentry to add to my variant collection, along with a Star Wars Clone Pilot to fly my V-Wing, and finally a G1 Buzz Saw!!

Here's the cool one though, I picked up a complete set of fan-dubbed Japanese G1 DVDs, Headmasters, Zone, Victory, and Masterforce!! I'm so stoked because I've never seen these shows...now I'm worried because I'm going to want all of the toys even more...

Sorry for the lost post, had to stay up to date.

I ordered the Metrodome 2 Disc release of Transformers The Movie in the Limited Edition tin case. I can't wait to check it out and see how it compares to the Sony version.

I figured it was one of you savages that denied me Robovision Prime today :D He was sold out at Westland Target. I knew I should have picked him up at Haggerty Target eariler today.

How much did you pay for the Japenese DVD's? Or would you be interested in selling a copied set?

Just found out I got the dud Bumblebee, trying to see if there's any means of removing the windshield. Pulling the pin out will let me split the body into two so I can look at the spring mechanism. If I can do that, then I can sorta "fix" it. I'll more than likely just take it back though. Anyone else run into this problem?

*Edit* I was posting in the Bumblebee thread as well, but I'm pretty well convinced now that this is a faulty hood button where it's not pulling back so that the hood can pop forward. When pressure's applied to it, it breaks or bends the plastic which results in the front hood never locking into place again without removing the spring.

There were quite a few Robovision Primes at the Target here in Lansing on Eastwood. I didn't buy one as I planned on getting the leader prime version.

Welcome to the world of Billy, Willy, and Sparkle...seriously, the dub I have is that bad, although it gets a little better later... It can be annoying to watch to much at a time... make sure to spread it out.

Haha, sorry buddy. I'll keep an eye out for you if you want.

It was a total of $70 for everything, which is pretty good. I don't mind selling a copied set, but I'm still not quite sure how to make copies of DVDs...

Hope the graduation party went well.

Do you know if the dub track is the old StarTV tracks?

I'd be interested too if they do. I have the Takara releases of Headmasters, Master Force and Victory but only Headmasters has the StarTV dubs while Master Force and Victory have English subtitles.
